    Would you accept $65?

How much for shipping to England?

I might be able to get this off you, wouldn't be able to say for the next few days though.

Or we could call it quits on the shipping and I'll send you a bog standard SCPH-9002.

It would be more economical to do the mods yourself (or send it to someone in the UK who can) rather than cost of shipping a PS1 from the states and shipping one to the states..

As you already have a last gen ps1, personally id recommend that - unless you have reasons for wanting a US PS1 of course or dont care about economy :)

I'm tempted to buy this just to see how you got everything wired up.

I recall some people having problems with PS1 LED mods due to lack of power at least in the 7x models and under. Not sure about the 9x models. Did you have any problems with the power supply?

    Shipping's always a pain.

Ah well, I'll have to pass.

I gotta save my money for a PS3 TEST Console :D

Damn, must you spam every one of these threads with this pointless comment? If you have 17 PlayStations then why comment? The truth is that nobody cares if you have 17 PlayStations, and this useless fact definitely isn't going to help the OP.

@jinn could you please let me know your source for new BAM lasers?

Just for curiosity sake, when SONY introduced the SCPH-300x model in Japan and the PU-8 motherboard (America and Europe were using the PU-8 on their SCPH-1000 model already ...) and the new 208 pin framebuffer chip (VRAM type) opposed to the 160 pin framebuffer chip (uses a pair of dual port FPDRAM chips) this new 208 pin framebuffer chip had two separated clock inputs, which allowed for properly display color video properly in both PAL and NTSC formats without need to resort to fixes or RGB cables...

NTSC boards with that chip had the PAL clock input grounded, which means the machine could not play PAL games at all (video would stall once the machine attempts to change to PAL mode due to lack of video clock frequency) and a common change was move the resistor from the grounding spot to a spot where it would clock both inputs (making the video for PAL mode be B&W) so the system would not stall.

So if you remove the resistor and add a PAL clock crystal you will have a perfect dual video Playstation system system in a PU-8 motherboard.

(I suspect that PU-8 based PS1 debugstations did ship with that configuration, btw.)

    I believe I've got a PU-8 based PS1 here somewhere, I'll have to give that a shot.
