    SOLD

    Hi All,

I am selling my British PS3 debugging station. It's a DECHJ00A model with a 40Gb hard drive and is currently set up to output 1080p HD.

    • It is running debug firmware version 4.01
    • Fully boxed (original box) with cardboard inserts and console wrapping material
    • Instruction manual
    • UK power cable
    • One sixaxis PS3 wireless controller
    • Original Red/White/Yellow AV cable
Comes with one EA game (Beta disc) from Electronic Arts titled "Army of Two: The 40th Day"

The console is in EXCEPTIONAL condition. I have barely used it and the gloss black outer plastics of the console are not scratched or scuffed. The unit has spent most of it's life in the box, only coming out for special ocassions ;-)

I am willing to ship worldwide on the proviso that the winning bidder pays for a tracked and insured shipment method.

Apologies for the poor quality photographs, I had to use my mobile because I do not have my stills camera at present with me.

As with all my sales, haggling is optional :triumphant:.

Price: £399 GBP + P&P (approx £18 within UK for Special Delivery)

Feel free to email me at: dickibow@yahoo.co.uk or PM me on the forum. Emails will usually get replied to quicker.

@Benni - The post above yours was by I8ablueskittle and I think he was directing his comment to me, not you :)

Also regarding your questions, refer to the PS3 dev wiki. The website appears down (but seems to work as a google cache). This model plays PS3 titles (retail and development discs). No PS1 or PS2 discs will play on it and no blu-ray movies. In fact, no PS3 Test console will play blu-ray movies. Yes it does have WLAN built in.

I have had some requests for international postage to the USA - and the cheapest I can find is £40 GBP with FedEx using their Economy World Service. I doubt this has insurance so the buyer would need to factor this in if the courier damages or loses it.

    Hi Dickibow,

Sorry but those image do not qualify for the rule. You need your name and site on an item taken with the picture. Just water marking them is something anybody could do to a picture on the internet. The whole purpose is to reduce potential scamming of our users.

So please provide updated pictures in 24h or I will have to pull the post.

The Title reminds me to what a Producer told me: "EA ships Beta's. That's right, Beta's are complete games.".

PS2 & PS3 Test don't play DVD either. The reason is that the license fee they have to pay for supporting DVD or Bluray is a percentage of the price the hardware is sold for, so it would add quite a lot to the cost when it's not a feature that your boss even wants you to have.

You won't get SACD support for the same reason either. Not sure why no PS1 support, except again it's not what you're being paid to use it for.

This PS3 Test should play PS1 games. The note about it not playing was likely an error.

A lot of people assume ONLY the BC PS3s can play PS1 titles. That is false. ALL PS3 units should play PS1 discs, including the current TEST units.

The only BC that got dropped was PS2 BC.

That said, there is one, very specific, PS3 Test unit which does play Blu-ray discs. You won't find it in the gaming industry though.

The PS3 AV Testing Tool is a PS3 Test with firmware that is locked down for games, but allows for BD-Video emulation, region code changing and HDCP toggle. It is sold as part of a Blu-ray disc mastering suite.

Uh its common knowledge that all PS3s play PS1 games. And someone owned an AV Testing unit on the forums years ago.

£400 ? Why did you sell it so cheap as full packaging ? I need one desperate as my PS3 Test unit died while ago. I would had paid £600 for that PS3 TEST unit easily.

    EDIT

If you havn't ship off to IhcAamonkey yet, I willing to pay £700 to against his price.

^Er no and it me paying. This is PS3 Test topic not 1.5 topic. I don't see why you would be ashame for over a silly BH 1.5 videogame.
