3) Xbox LIVE Beta kit. Includes the really hard to find, and becoming rarer clear ORANGE Xbox memory card. This kit was given out in 2002 and the beta starter pack only lasted until November 14th of that year. These were handed out for beta testing. Complete kit, including head set, mic, all related paperwork, manuals and quick start guide, plus BETA disc (now expired, so don't expect it to work!) and Orange memory card inside a leatherette pouch. £25.00 plus P&P £5.00 (available World Wide at additional cost) SOLD - V_R





4) Xbox LIVE Beta unit. PAL. This is incredibly rare. In talking with OE we established that this unit would potentially be one of only a handful of units ever produced by Microsoft for the purpose of testing the Xbox LIVE service prior to it going public. Whilst developing the games titles, this unit would have been handed to developers and locked purely to the now defunct Xbox Live BETA testing servers.

As such it is a piece of Xbox history that very few people will have ever seen, far or less even managed to obtain.

The good news. It is clean, in excellent condition and comes with stickers eluding to it's history and previous owners (LucasArts). It has the all important BETA and MS stickers on it. It's a PAL unit, which is even rarer!

The bad news. The previous owner had no idea what he owned. In testing the unit he discovered it wouldn't play anything. It was never meant to, it was locked out after the BETA testing finished. He therefore broke the seal (D'oh!) and removed what he thought was a faulty motherboard (locked debug mbd) and replaced it with a.... retail motherboard!

So, in effect you would own one of the rarest Xbox cases on the planet, but your internal motherboard would be a bog standard PAL retail mbd. OH:

The value is dropped significantly, I cannot lie about it! I was gutted when I discovered what had happened.

However, it remains a very, very significant piece of Microsoft and Xbox history and I can pretty much guarantee you'll never see another one as long and as hard as you look (unless OE Manor opens it's doors for a sale!)

It should be worth £££, but due to the school boy error on the part of the previous owner, it's priced at a mere £70.00 - buy it and love it, cherish it and hold it. Never let it out of your sight and look for a debug motherboard to put inside it. Atleast you'll increase it's value a little bit more!

3) Asian Crystal Blue Xbox - A rare oddity. Produced out of the box by Microsoft as region free, plus 220vac! Unboxed, as is. Fully working - £50.00 plus P&P UK SOLD - IDC

4) Mountain Dew Ltd Edition Xbox - Prize offered by Mountain Dew / Pepsi if you managed to rot your teeth and those of your beloved family by drinking enough cans and bottles of MD to get all the tokens. The amount required was sufficient to just buy yourself an Xbox and several games. It was so many that lots of MD units were never claimed and Pepsi used the remaining green cases for a Europe only Ltd Ed HULK Xbox at launch of the film. I am so tempted on the BETA, but my tooth has just cracked and a £200 fix :-(

The Smoke Xbox is an awesome model, always wanted one back in the day. They were rare enough then, almost never see them nowadays.

 

Update - most items either on hold or sold. V_R is taking a few items, but needs confirmation on shipping for the Beta Live kit. Depending on cost, the unit may or may not become available again.

Oh boy, it's just the Mountain Dew. Funnily enough, this is my favorite as it was so bizarre. I kept changing my mind as to whether to sell it or not. It took me ages to locate one in America where the seller would be willing to ship to the UK.

So... if nobody wants it, I might just place it back into my console rack where it's been!
