Sounds like a good deal if the game wasn't leaked out.

 

Darn those good for nothing leakers. They are supposed to wait until AFTER I've sold.

 

I got the disc as well except my xbox won't read the disc - I need new chip I suppose...
got it for $5 since I had to buy the blank disc for my mate to burn...

it's shame it didn't get released...
hopefully someone else will pick it up and release like what happened to Juiced...

 

I doubt it will be released. We are close to the release of the 360 and unless titles continue to come out after the 360 is released (a la Playsation 1) it just won't happen.

Its not a big deal. Either way it won't cut into Halo time !

Doh I can't flog my copy of the Red Star for xbox either then I guess I may as well just hang onto it? :S

 

Microsoft said they would be supporting the Xbox until 2007 as from their E3 confrence.

 

For those in the "it won't sell since it's been leaked crowd", I would love to buy it. Unfortunately money is a big problem for me (I don't have any of it ).

 

I would buy a copy of 'The Red Star' for XBox if it was the final retail pressed disc (as opposed to a dvd-r).

Do pressed copies of the game exist? My memory is fuzzy.

 

As far as I know never was pressed.

 

Actually, having spoken with the team personally, I can confirm that another publisher has picked it up and will be putting it out sometime soon. They couldn't tell me who, though.

 

That's nice. I thought it was actually a pretty neat game. Nothing spectacular, but interesting nonetheless.

 

...Yep, I know for sure that Acclaim pressed a pile of retail disc's.

No, don't stop because of me. No one is gunna buy this thing now anyway. I'd rather hear about the existing retail copies.

 

...At least 200 complete retail disc's / boxes / manuals are/were securely stored.

I think its a shame. The game could have gone on to have great status amoung gamers as one of a few unreleased games worth playing. Now it will be just another game in long line of games no one will remember in a few years.
