Ape, do you still have some? I'd need one for a model 1 and one for a model 2. I know you said you're going to stop selling them but I've installed chips just like he ones you're offering. So I won't mess up my system. I've installed dozens of chips and have had great success.

Sounds promising. Guess I'll hold off buying a V3 from Consolegoods.

I sure hope they wanted that cat out of the bag.

If you want to take the chance I've got plenty left.

Are these chips board specific? i was hoping to get some stock of chips that worked in either version console for pretty cheap

They can be but I'm not selling anymore chips to end users without them waiving their right to a return/refund. All chips work but I had a 32pin refuse to work with 11 different chips with #12 working perfectly. The other 11 tested as working in other consoles so unless people want to ship me their Saturn for a fitting I can't be bothered to deal with the fact that people are going to suggest I sold them faulty goods despite me being 100% transparent about the state of Saturn modchips.

Unless someone needs their Saturn chipped today they should hold tight for something on the horizon.

I should have been more specific. I'm in need of both 20 and 21 pin boards and would prefer to buy boards compatible with either option. I'm not an end user. The only trick to selling this way while waiving my right to a refund is that i'd like the price to be too good to want a refund. it's 2am right now so i can't look but i'll check the thread when i get a lunch today

I wish I could test those chips for stuff like that but I'm out of money =/
There are two 32pin models btw (and three different Sanyo models, all being "replacement" units for the 32pin drives).

APE does awesome work. Sorry you're going through all the hassle, man! I may be coming to you soon for a Saturn modchip if you're up for it.

If you're able to foot the bill for shipping costs I'd be happy to send you some of the more troublesome chips for compatibility checks.

I have no qualms doing installs but the hassle of selling them to end users is too much. On top of being a full time student I also work two IT gigs on my uni's campus; at my asking prices I'm not exactly making bank.

ape ive installed every version of these chips before so for the price I don't really care about returns, i have a model2 oval button 21 pin that i need a chip for, since it has the looks of my model one and the pins of my round button model 2 that i have had modded since like 2000, i want to mod this one up, let me know what ya got for me, i know its easy to install, and if you have a 21 pin chip that has a built in timing crystal that would be even better, then i won't have to solder a signal wire! and i'll take one for a model one 20 pin if your have em, just to mess around with that too

Not sure if you knew this but the 32 pin chip doesn't work with every single 32 pin model

    http://www.segastyle.com/saturnmod.html

Lists how to find which chip you need for which board. I have a universal in a 64 pin that works great from another seller. I've found the plug-in board is pretty tempermental however if you have issues playing with the AB point can sometimes net positive results. The universal board is pretty hassle-free though and I've never run into a system it didn't work on however I've never modded model 1s.
