    Like Ive been saying, there will come a point where all Xboxes will have to be opened and repaired anyway, so while there may be some value in an unopened kit, I think that decreases as time goes on.

    I concur, especially the older ones, especially if you hear something rattling on a 1.0 system, I have found the crystal oscillator completely off the USB daughter board and bouncing around inside the case, they seem to have fixed this as I've never ran into on a "retail" system. Also don't forget the cap leaks and dvd drives.
