$2000 for a laptop is far from unreasonable., depending on configuration and personal preferences.

 

Yeah but excessive, unless is a mobile workstation or a gaming notebook, and in my case I'm looking for a reliable laptop for everyday use, not a powerhouse.

Were you dieting and excercising? I hate to say it, but excercise is far more important. East 1500 calories a day and burning 1500 is not as good as consuming 2500 and burning 2500. My highest weight was 252 lbs. My lowest was 175 lbs. I weigh about 187 lbs now. Excercise while you diet, dude. Makes all the difference in the world.
