Cyantist, what Bill Gates does now, is just penance for his monopolistic megalomania he used to have. Cause I doubt you have heard off Mærsk Mc-Kinney Møller, you have probably seen a lot of containers, and perhaps a few ships and what not with the name Maersk on it, anyway that guy is an old fart (sorry give me a moment to rephrase myself). That man is an old fuck : And the richest man in Denmark, and what he has done in the past, is one of the reasons, why he has more power than my government and what ever he says. That is what the government will follow in different areas. But here comes the kicker of it all. He is now 97 years old now, and over the years he has given a LOT of "presents" to either the Danish people or the royal family.. instead of paying his tax. Which he only pays 1 % of every 100 kroner he earns. But what are his presents ? well they are his "penance" in the afterlife. Cause he is just as afraid for what people will see him as in around 100 to 300 years. But we all are going to judged fair and square , if you believe in that stuff , when we croak and die. Also his father and him worked with the Nazis during WWII and used Jewish slave labour, and then after the war he had pay a sum, as his "penance" again. So Bill Gates anthropology , you can call good, but to me it is just future penance, and he will not be hungry or be out of money. And ultimately, I think BGs anthropology is bullshit, even though "it is a good thing".

 

A donation of $30 billion to charity is hardly bullshit, regardless of who makes it. As far as charitable donations go I couldn't give a fuck about who donates as long as it helps people in need.

Also, as I said before, it's not "anthropology". That's the study of human nature and behaviour.

 

Alchy, last time I checked, what BG did is philanthropy. Or am I wrong about that ? still it is fucking penance or a try to get good karma. whether it is good or not.

$30 billion to me shows he cares. People like Christopher Reeves only gave a shit about charities after it happened to them. Philanthropy has always been a factor for Mr Gates since Microsofts inception when he said he wanted a computer on every childs desk.

Actually I agree with Alchy. We're talking $30 billion dollars here, that is a shitload of good Karma. Besides, it's not like Bill Gates is a baby killer or something.

 

Nope, I know. That BG is not a baby killer. But he is still monopolistic megalomaniac.

 

He may is, but opposite to the common paranoid opinions on the net, I don't consider this to be anything devilish. He worked for all his money and climbed up the ladder to the very top of the world - the American dream. He's the very opposite of fucktards like Harvard-students who let their millionaire parents pay for their ghost-written graduation exams, or useless scum like Paris Hilton. Then he donated almost his entire money, so maybe he's a monopolistic megalomaniac, I don't care.

People who criticize him for being successful and rich and consistently exploiting these things to dominate the market mostly never donated a cent themselves. They should shut up and try to do what Gates did.
