^^ had worse for less, but then again, looks like that statement's from a rich-kid status-quo lover?! i know em when i see em! and ditto, but i'll expand that to bloodlines! nthego:
sorry, what are you talking about? if you cared to look at the whole thread, see my other responses... blah, blah..blah! (i don't have to justify myself to some random cunt never met) if you haven't got anything intellectual to add to the subject (and deathwishes don't count's i'm afraid) do us all a favor and FUCK OFF! [edit] typo..
ok, there is one member who seems to think this is some sort of trolling site. Many of his posts are not for this forum. He always seems to be pissing someone off so it's time for a temp ban I think. I've sat back long enough. OK, from now on let's keep this thread nice. Thanks!
I have sent a message reminding of the conduct we expect here. I am more partial to steering people to proper conduct than just removing them. Some people here have had to be spoken to and they have become model site members.
I have a Vita and i must say , i didn't touch it for a at least 6 months now... , there are almost no new games coming out for the system , at least no system sellers.... It cannot compete with the popularity of the 3DS , but i hope the Vita will not die because it is a really good handheld , Wipeout was just awesome on it
The system still has something like 7-8 million units out there. That is enough for me to consider putting my next game on both it and the 3DS.
The way I see it, the Vita market is supposed to be for 'serious' gamers, they want huge levels, brilliant graphics, deep gameplay etc etc, whereas casual gamers (iPhone/3DS etc) just want something to fiddle with whilst bored at a bus stop (or whatever). I don't think there is a market for a handheld that is aimed at serious gamers at the moment, I can't quite put my finger on why. Maybe it's to do with the amount of time it takes to play a modern game, 1/2hr tutorial followed by action, cutscene, action, cutscene, which doesn't translate to a handheld game (bus turns up, you are only halfway through a level). The most successful handheld games I can think of are pretty simple (Tetris, Pokemon) and you can pick them up (and put them down again) pretty quickly. Maybe it's due to what someone else pointed out, you just can't get the same experience on a handheld that you do on a uber-massive 3 million pixel TV. Although for the record, the PS Vita buttons/sticks are absolutely fine, the original PSP thumbstick is terrible. You sorta see the opposite with the Wii U, whereas Vita is a handheld aimed at the serious gamer (who tend to like consoles), the Wii U was aimed at the casual player, who tend to prefer mobile gaming.
I can see the Wii U making a comeback, if only because A) this console cycle will be really long, giving Nintendo time to make up for the terrible launch-first year, and B) Nintendo has proven that they can sell tons of systems based on first-party games along, something Sony hasn't. I don't think the Vita can survive. Let's face it, the Vita is basically a smartphone with a real controller built in. That can't take phone calls. Or use 3G (unless you got the 3G one, in which case you're paying for that and a phone (probably)). Yes it has decent games, but the majority of their games are on PS3/360 and better. The 3DS has games you can't find anywhere else, and I think the Streetpass is a really fun feature, it encourages me to bring my 3DS with me when I go out of the house, and then when I'm on a long bus ride home, well, I've already got a video game system in my bag/pocket, why not play some?
The PS Vita will be around at least for a few more years, so I doubt it's "doomed," just possibly short lived. When someone comes out with an adapter to let me use microSD cards in place of the overpriced proprietary memory cards, I'll consider picking one up.
Well, to be more elaborate the Vita will not be killed until Sony releases it's successor to it, so in a way it will be on life support. Where Sony will release some few games and a whole lot more experimental games as well as not to totally stop game releases on it. To be honest the PSP did not win against the Nintendo DS and still has it's niche market as well. I expect Nintendo to do the same for the Wii-U even if it wasn't able to come back from it's early slump. Nintendo will not kill it until they release the successor to the Wii-U as well.
Vita born dead, Sony dont give a shit about this console. Well, at least it is the best PSP you can play. Amazing screen, great controls, two analog sticks for FPS (buttons to analog is a bit clunky but infinite times better than buttons control) and touch hotkeys, just great.
First - it not a console, It a handheld portable. Second - Sony do care, Obvious. It not easy as you think. Third - PSVita not PSP Fourth - Learn your shit before you talking shit.
Really... PSP has two analog sticks? How about read before you post something shit. I have the feeling PSVita will have a shorter lifespan as you mention. Memory card is still overprice unfortunately. I personally never own a PSvita yet and I doubt I would. I just don't have a time to play on the go. Sadly PSP and PSVita are a powerful handheld with great package of power spec. I don't think Sony is good enough with marketing on it own but they are good at making handheld. If PSvita does not meet Sony goal as how they want it to be then I just can't see there will be anymore future of Sony Handheld portable gaming at this point. In my opinion, PSP GO has done the worst. I think they done it too early in 2009.
