Thank you Steelercell2k8! Here are 4 new acquisitions to the collection: I'm excited to play Harvest Moon 64. It will be my first Harvest Moon game ever. I bought Darksiders because someday I want to have the second one and I would have to buy the first also. I bought the DBZ game because I bought the debug version and I wanted to also have the retail version. And I bought Banjo Tooie for the N64 fullset. I don't plan on playing it anytime soon because I'm playing Banjo-Kazooie for the first time during this week.
Today I received a LOT of stuff that I was waiting for a long time. I'm very happy with everything but there are some special items. First, some games that I bought here in Brazil. Now, I will post what arrived today. First, some Vita european exclusives games. Just two PS3 games and Star Fox Command for the DS collection. I also got a copy of Resident Evil Revelaitons. The seller gave some Neo Geo CD games. Some random stuff (I wanted the Wesker's Report DVD and the rest are bonus). I bought my first Indigo GC. This is a japanese unit. Some GC japanese demos. Some GC european demos (The Viewtiful Joe package is great). Now, some rare stuff. First, some Xbox and Xbox 360 debug titles. My PS3 Test console. Some PS3 debug titles and one PS2 debug title. And finally, my Super Smash Bros Melee japanese demos: Smash Bros Event-You (the rarest), Super Smash Bros DX demo disc , Super Smash Bros Kiosk Demo.
Now, I got some NFR carts: I'm missing the volume 4 of the Download Station carts. If anyone has it and wants to sell, let me know please.
This week I received some new games for my collection. I'm very happy with everything. Everything is in a very good condition and now I'm missing only the first Zelda for the NES to complete my Zelda collection.
Wow that was a nice update. I drooled over that black zelda box, so sleek. And nice test ps3. Euh and if haven't said it yet: awesome collection dude. Very inspiring when you know how expensive this hobby get in SA.
This Ocarina of Time version looks very good. It was a bit expensive if I take into account that I won't play it but it was worth it because it has one brilliant box art and it is in a very good condition. And thanks, sometimes it gets a bit hard to collect here since it is not everyone that is willing to ship to Brazil and the exchange rate doesn't help much but I do my best to always grow my collection.
The question is, when will you have the time to play them all, do you have a collection goal? I'm just not sure when you will feel fulfilled
I don't plan on playing everything. I don't have a goal of playing everything. I want to have a nice library games for whenever I feel like playing something I can choose from a variety of genres and consoles. But to keep things interesting I set some goals for the short term, like completing a subset or getting every game of a series or even a console's fullset. I like to collect, to search for games, to buy them, to look them at my shelves and also to play them.
That's cool, you have quite the collection, I'm sure they will look even better when organized and displayed!
I already have a large portion of my collection displayed but right now I have ran out of space. To solve this I'm creating a game room. I hope I can have it finished in July.
A small update as I didn't get any rare or different items, just a few regular games that I wanted for some time. I specially wanted the Star Wars Clone Wars that wasn't bundled with Tetris but the store sent me the bundle so I still need to get a copy of just the Star Wars game.
While the forum was down, I only got one game but this one game that I bought was one that I had wanted for a long time. It's NAM 1975 for the Neo Geo AES. It wasn't cheap but I'm very happy with it. Today I received a great package from my friend that was in the US. He helped me get a lot of hard to find things here in Brazil. And I also bought The Witcher 3 today here in Brazil.
It's getting a bit hard to store everything. For now I use my bedroom. My shelves are full now and so I bought a few plastic boxes that are also full. My solution was to get another room in the house and I hope to get it ready for my games in two months. I will probably have the space to double my collection and I will still have my bedroom to store more games.
Today I received some things that I was waiting for a long time (dev consoles) and some games. First, some N64 games that I wanted CIB for a long time: I also bought some Xbox 360 games here in Brazil and got a physical copy of the new Looney Tunes game for the Vita thanks to foobarry81: I also got some european exclusive physical PS4 games: A Xbox debug kit: A Wii RVT-R and a Japanese Gamecube that is seems to be interesting. It's possible it is a prototype console from before the launch. It says that the patent is pending and has a 2000 date. I bought as been a retail console but it may be something from before the console's launch.
