Game Dev Story for android/iphone

Game Dev Story is a sim game where you run your own game studio. Its the first phone game that I found is native to the platform that is a must play. I know Angry Birds is huge but it doesn't hold my attention the way this game does.

I love how it takes place during the mid 80s and early 90s so you can develop for the genesis and snes (though they give them fake names).

Anyone check it out yet?

 

Angry Birds is EVERYTHING that is wrong with the phone game market.

I played game dev story a few months back. While it's great there could be a lot more to it plus once you get so far in to the game it becomes impossible to loose money or make poor games. I'd made about 150 games before I gave up one the game. It just became a running cycle.

They're now working on Game Dev Story 2. So hopefully they'll fix some of the issues.

Thank god, finally someone else who doesn't like Angry Birds. I'll have to try this one, since it sounds interesting and most Android games are crap.

I'm really liking Game Dev Story, played it for a few hours last night. Also, it's currently on sale I guess for like 210Â¥

 

Yes, sort of but in a much more basic way. It is good once you get in to it. I'm just hoping thatthe 2nd game has more meat on it.

 

The studio who made Game Dev Story makes a ton of games like it for the jpn cell phone market. They ported 2 more to the iPhone (but only for japan & in japanese). I hope they bring over others like the soccer & race sim, and also localize them.

I just recently got into game dev story and while it's nothing amazing, it is somewhat addictive much like Roller Coaster Tycoon was on the PC for me.

Angry Birds it an alright but broken puzzle game. Cut the rope I find to be better but needs more content.

Fruit ninja is what I find to be wrong with the iPhone market.

 

Game Dev Story was beautifully addictive and then it just got too easy and then it stopped.

What bothered me was that I could never find an engineer to hire so I could never make my own console.

 

Just level up all the jobs for one person, you get more and more jobs, the last one being a hardware engineer Have to change jobs and such using items, but its not bad.
