Everyone has heard of Double Fine Adventure, Wasteland 2 and Shadowrun Returns at this point, but here are some other great one I've found recently: Carmageddon Reincarnation by the makers of the original games A new Tex Murphy game by the creators of the series A new adventure game by the Two Guys from Andromeda, creators of the Space Quest series
Let me know when any of these actually come to fruition in a way the donors liked and I will believe.
People are going to be pissed no matter what. They need to realize that it is a donation, with possible rewards, not guaranteed.
Wasn't there a case recently where a company got the 100k (or a mil) they wanted, and then pissed it away?
Looking forward to Carmageddon but I can't even donate, it requires Amazon + credit card so sorry. They will get my money when I buy the game.
Yeah I remember, some dudes making an iPad game but didnt even have the ipads They forgot to mention backers that they would spend most of it in a trip to PAX, rather than in making the game
http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1067367405/pinball-arcade-the-twilight-zone Twilight Zone table to be added to Pinball Arcade, if anyones interested. The table was cool, but digitized pinball never really did it for me.
I'm already a backer of the Twilight Zone project. I was thinking of posting a link here, but then again I love video pinball and didn't know if anyone else here liked it.
The SpaceVenture project isn't doing very well: the backers have really dried up after a pretty good start, and they might not actually meet their goal (probably the first "industry veterans" to fail if that happens)
