I backlight modded a gameboy pocket. The installation was successful, with no broken cables or bad pixels.
I also want to add a bivert chip. Following this schematic https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0689/3143/files/bivert.png?11965825414673239867, I can't find the vcc line (the red wire on the photo) on my motherboard.
What is weird, I have two other pockets that don't have this spot either!
My pockets are from Japan if it makes any significance.

The trace is still there on the board, it's just that the via isn't - you can solder the wire to any other via on the same trace.

Oh, I just noticed something else - that drawing is wrong. You are supposed to tie the inputs of unused gates to ground or +ve, but the way it's been drawn it's leaving the inputs floating and grounding the outputs.

    Pins 6, 8, 10 and 12 should be left open - pins 5, 9, 11 and 13 grounded.
