I have a video of the Japanese Nintendo GameCube boot screen on YouTube. I made some boot screen videos when I frist got my video card to play around with it. I didn't know it but apparently the boot screen is the same for the US, Japan, and Europe. Anyway, I was browsing through my videos and saw that it has 62,001 views. WTF? I did a google search and found that people are talking about an Easter Egg....you hold down the Z button and the console plays an alternate opening. I never held down the Z button so I have no idea what they're talking about. That's the only reason why the video could have so many hits. All of my other videos are well under 10,000, usually under 1,000. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6rLPiX-3HxE Can some GameCube owners tell me if there's anything special about this? To me it's probably the most bland video I have....but it currently ranks #2 on my hit list. It's an odd world we live in.
My most viewed video is a Saints Row demo glitch, so yeah, I dont understand people either. And yeah, there is a easter egg, its quite strange to be honest.
i like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WUsCK9mUUMU&feature=related my favorite "easter egg" is the ps2 clock. i've been trying to figure out how to make that a real system clock for months when i discovered the z thing i thought i was cool. very cool
Plugging a controller into port 1 and holding down the Z button gives you one easter egg. Plugging in 4 controllers and holding down the Z button on all of them will produce the second easter egg. It's most likely you've got a pile of hits for it for both the fact that not everyone knows about it, and you've probably had it linked on some site somewhere.
Yeah, only one button press is needed. I was told about this around the time of the gamecube's release. I've always made a point of doing it because I hate the standard start up sound.
