A few days ago @Super David found a link containing the source code to the Capcom GameCube game Killer7. You can read more about this here: http://assemblergames.com/l/threads/killer7-source-code.63837/ (don't forget to thank him!) To save derailing the original topic this has been created. Me @rso & @Borman have spent the last few days grabbing all the data and comparing notes to make sure we grabbed all the correct data. Good news is over 19GB of source code has been saved. The bummer to this is some seems to be missing and the source can't be compiled. Still it's a huge find so please visit @Super David's original thread and give him your thanks. Hopefully enough information is here to work out what is missing and to maybe hack the missing data back in so it can be compiled. A torrent is going to be supplied by @slipshod at some stage but for now a mega link is being provided. @rso managed to compress the data to an amazing 2.60GB meaning Mega shouldn't limit the download. Don't forget to thank @rso @Borman and @slipshod also when you have the chance. ~Download removed by request of InterOne~
So, even though there are some things that won't be shared for now (older than 4 year rule), they are still safely backed up? I didn't look too much into what the other files unrelated to Killer7 were about. As for the original link, what exactly is the status regarding it? I have been asked to supply the link, but so far, I haven't done so, because I'm not so sure I should be doing that at this point, even if you guys have backed up everything. I would think that anyone who asked me for the link would be all right with just using the mega.nz link, but I just thought I would ask anyways.
They're backed up yes me, borman, rso have this on multiple drives in different locations. Most of the other stuff was music/psd's/ai files/concept art. When they can be safely posted here they will be. The original link was removed to make sure we can make sure all data is backed up and so the original wasn't taken down. If the original is shared it would slow down efforts from myself, rso & borman. i.e the download speed which is slow already meaning if it was taken down we'll lose more stuff. People have to understand this. Once again, Thanks for finding this Super David.
EDIT: please edit out the link as we still haven't finished backing it up. The link was removed to make sure it is archived for all. Plus to lower risk of it being taken down. From your screenshot you're in the wrong folder. Move into Killer7 or killer7eu/killer7us and those files are there. --------original post-- All files are here that were on the original link. There's a bunch of folders missing from the original site and there's nothing we could do there to fix. There was 76,142 files on the server and the archive provided by me rso & borman has the same amount. (My SS shows extra due to tools I added.)
Ok I see. Looks like the files are arranged a lil different. Was there any map editor in the archive? I thought I seen one while browsing around. BTW Thanks for downloading all of the files!!!!
Not that I've seen but only thing I done was try to compile. Also please edit out the link in the screenshot as borman is still grabbing a few bits to compare.
Thanks for the download! Wow, some odd files at the source link aside from the Killer7 stuff. Mostly looks like fonts, pdfs, audio files, and various other resources for some "humandroid" series of.. drama CDs? Not sure. Seems like a Japanese series aimed at girls which features effeminate, partially clothed boys. In fact, that is almost all of the content on the site. Killer 7's source code seems squarely out of place here. It's a shame the "From ARC" folder is empty (referring to ARC System Works, with whom they worked previously).
While you're snooping around, don't miss the batch of background reference photos showing some really nice places.
Even with this it will not compile properly. It will error out once it gets to the missing folders which are not on the original link. You can find the dll here, http://assemblergames.com/l/threads/gamecube-gcm-packer.27686/
What assets are missing? Maybe retail iso's can provide some of the missing files. Also maybe early demos?
what's that rgtool.zip thing do, anyone have a look? It's a dating sim for girls, or gays for that matter.
I was able to create a disk images, but they doesn't work on dolphin (this image is invalid) In addition, the Us version of the files is seems corrupted
Was looking at that earlier. It's called the "Tsukino Park Rhythm Tool" and to my best guess, it appears to be a tool for setting up the rhythm data for a rhythm tapping game themed with characters from this company's IP.
If you read the original post it clearly says files are missing so it wouldn't compile. I went over them manually and it seems many are blank/0kb and this is due to the original location having some bits missing. I looked at the retail and some can be reimported by hand but it still won't compile correctly.
