I thought I'd share this because I've never heard of it and I'm skeptical of it's authenticity. This is allegedly a "silver" nr disc of a prototype for ninja turtles for gamecube, however it ALSO works in retail gamecube. (Allegedly.) First of all I'm pretty sure it's impossible for this disc to run on both an nr and a retail gamecube. Has anyone heard if this? I think it's just a game burned on a mini DVD, but does anyone know anything about this?
Ok. So do you think it's possible that these dev's had some form of a modchipped gamecube as a makeshift dev kit? I realize that's a stretch. I'm not interested in buying this, just curious if it's real.
What is the source of this disc? As first thoughts would just be someone's burned it. Could even be a backup from a private collection Seems unlikely its a dev disc imo.
This disc looks familiar, if I recall correctly this disc has surfaced on this very board before. It's most likely the final copy, sans the artwork printed on the disc. Similar to those "silver" discs as seen on Saturn and Dreamcast.
I've never heard of a disc that can boot on both a retail cube and a NR-Reader, and I'm extremely dubious if such a thing could even exist, since the two formats scramble the track data differently and a NR-reader can't even read the physical format information from a retail disc and vice versa.
