Are you saying that the chip is PAL only?

    No, what he's saying is:
When you hold the start button down when a disc is booting, it will bring up the Multi-Game shell. This menu is for special dvd-r compilations you might make with more than one disc image on it. The "multi-game" shell is what is hard coded to run in PAL 50Hz, all your games/backups/etc will still run fine.

We're working on a updated version since we've forked the code for this chip (with some guys over at http://www.gc-forever.com/ ) and we'll be releasing an updater executable / disc image that you'll be able to burn and run in the near future.

Is it still worth having multi game disks? I thought it was due to the media being a bit pricey in the past. now mini DVD-r's are pretty cheap.

I think it was more for people who wanted their collections to not be so large when backed up (instead of 100 discs, 50 would be much easier).

Yeah, it's a lot easier just to burn two game images onto a single disc, and just label the disc with two titles rather than having to keep two separate discs. For example, I for the most part try to combine 2 Mario related games together on a single disc, just for both simplicity and organization. Not to mention it allows you to have more mini-dvds to burn, and it cuts down the amount of game discs you have in your possession.

OK. So how do you create these multi-game disks?

Received mine today - thanks mamejay.

I wish I could help with the mult-game discs (I created a few over the years..) but I honestly can't remember what tools I used - All I can say is that it is very easy...if I could figure it out, anyone can! :)
