    You just drop solder to some points (6) on the board after you place it.

    I prefer adding wires to the install. Takes an extra 5 minutes but gives you a much better success rate

    got my chip the other day and finally had time to put it in. it worked like a charm! i was tempted to install it without the wires, but took the extra time to solder everything up with wires from an IDE cable and it worked perfect the first try. i adjusted the POT to 202 to insure all discs run and i haven't had a single disc fail once! thanks a lot Jay, the Gamecube kind of passed me by when it was going strong, i bought my system and some games at launch, but didn't really have much time to play anything since things in my life were changing. now that i am kind of retro collecting, this will be awesome to be able to see what games i think are actually worth buying now! by the way, i already knew i could play these games on my wii with a few mods, but there is just something about playing games on the system they were meant for, i am sure everyone knows what i mean. anyway, thanks again!
