I finished Roswell Conspiracies on PS1 last night. Overall it's not a terrible game, but the bad points do outweigh the good parts. It's a 3rd person 3D action game, but the lack of a jump action really screws this game up. There isn't any challenge either, out of 15 levels I only struggled to finish one first time through. Basically give it a miss . There's a gameplay video on my youtube channel if you're interested in seeing how bad it is . http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VtTZtilvrzs I've started Necronomicon: The Dawning Of Darkness now, also on PS1. It's a point n click adventure type game and so far seems pretty easy, I'll let you know more when I finish it ;-).
Red alert 3, sucked balls. too much fmv worthless a.i. Sad to see subs still spinning in circles after ten years worth of games.
Nice. I've been holding out on that one. I still have a ways to go in my game. Is the DLC similar to Fallout 3 where they just put a spot up on the map?
Well it is more like The Pitt, you have to go to a spot on the map (which already existed in New Vegas, is an abandoned BoS Bunker) and from there you get knocked out and stripped from all your belongings and wake up at a Villa with a slave collar on your neck. In terms of map size it would be something like Broken Steel or Mothership Zeta, it is not too big, it is a small wrecked villa. The story is good, and the feeling the villa generates is great as well, creepy and dark. There are not too many new weapons or items, and the Police Pistol (.357) will be your best friend through the whole DLC. Once you finish the DLC you won't be able to go back to the Villa nor the Sierra Madre Casino (as in Broken Steel iirc) so I would suggest you make plenty of savefiles if you want to go back or play again the experience with the same character. The only item they did not take from me was the NCR Aid Radio, though I did not try using it while being attacked at the villa Depending on your level, foes will be tough, and don't die unless you blow/chop off their head.
I just crashed through Sonic Adventure on XBLA. I didn't like it as much as SA2, but it did set the bar for 3D Sonic games. At least its better than Sonic Heroes.
My problem was that the battles all the time were too damn hard, I really liked what I played of it, but never even got to the story proper.. I got out to the woods and gave up.
get a few levels, get around the map getting item and cook/smith your weapons and armours... it'll get a lot easier.
Just finished the cool breakout type game "SHATTERED" via the ONLIVE gaming service. Great game...love the innovations they incorporated like the ability to maneuver the ball around with air. On another note, the ONLIVE gaming service really is fantastic. I had my doubts, but I gave the service a trial run last week and have been hooked since. Amazing stuff if you've got the internet connection to support it. They even have a great discount thing giong this week on a bunch of games.
Completed Mass Effect 2 yesterday, man it's been so long since a game really pulled me in like that. The storytelling and character development/depth is just incredible. Can't wait for ME3 this year !
Just wrapped up "Stranger's Wrath" on xbox. This was a mighty good game. Hard as nails but solid gameplay and controlls, and epic story.
Beating Mega Man 3 on the Playchoice 10 felt like such an accomplishment. Of course I didn't actually pay, but if I had it would have cost me $5.75 (to keep adding time) to beat the game. =P
Okamiden/Okami den (**** the confusing way to properly write it). Good game but filled with many technical & design flaws for the remaining 2/3-1/2 of the game.
Panzer Dragoon: Zwei.. man hadn't played this game in years. It's amazing how this series never gets old. I'm actually looking to buy Orta cheap if anyone has one to sell..but please tell me it runs well on a PAL XBOX 360 (I don't mind playing it on an original XBOX if it doesn't I guess). I've heard reports that it crashes after a few levels?
It's impossible to get past level 2 or 3 on a PAL 360, since it always crashes. AFAIK the problem was never fixed.
