LA Noire. Glad I finished the "Complete Edition" as I'm not too sure I'd want to go back to play more DLC after seeing that ending.
I finished God of War some weeks ago, and I have just finished God of War II... I hate them!!! Now I have to run buy a PS3 to play God of War III!!! On a serious comment, these are awesome games! I really liked them, though I expected the second one to be a little tougher.
10 - Crysis Warhead - Windows Didn't crash all the time like Crysis. Might be the change from AMD to nVidia, muhahahha! Other than a very crap end of game boss fun, fun, fun. Reminds me of the stealth in Batman Arkham City. You arrive, check everything out with your binoculars, then pick them out one by one. Game needs a stealth kill though. You can grab, but not grab'n'kill. Love this game, love this series. So many ways to play it. Starting to feel bad about the number of North Koreans I waste these days, got another one called Homefront full of North Koreans. Or it won't be once I kill them all. Better than the previous game in everything but length, aliens are better to fight, Koreans about the same. Looks very slightly better than Crysis 1 too. Very good. Best game of the year so far: Batman Arkham Asylum - Windows Worst game of the year so far: N.O.V.A.: Near Orbit Vanguard Alliance - PSP/PS Vita 11 - Terminator Salvation - Windows Four hours? Four bloody hours. If I'd paid $60 for this I'd be well pissed. Actually if I paid $5 for a rental I'd be kinda pissed. Real bog standard basic Gears clone. Missing a few basic Gears moves too like run and vault. Weapons sometimes don't pick up for weird reasons, some cover just doesn't work and gets in the way of the game. One character dies in a scene when she could really just jump over a rock and get in the elevator. I mean really. Characters get in the way of fighting the machines so you can't pop them with a grenade. Basic graphics. Basic games do look pretty good these days, but really, pretty basic. Boring weapons, Bloody rubbish. Shame as it's the only Terminator game I've ever finished. Worse than N.O.V.A... At least nova kept you busy for a while. Best game of the year so far: Batman Arkham Asylum - Windows Worst game of the year so far: Terminator Salvation - Windows 12 - Homefront - Windows Ow... My bums sore. Started and finished two games in one day. Owww.... 5 Hours this one, but so much better! Cool weapons with a very counterstrike kinda feel, game feels like a gritty Half Life 2, no bad thing, good gun play, characters I kinda like, incredible setting. Wow... Much better way to spend an afternoon than that Terminator nonsense. Very ballsy and very fun shooter. After this and Crysis I officially feel bad about all the Koreans I've wasted. Best game of the year so far: Batman Arkham Asylum - Windows Worst game of the year so far: Terminator Salvation - Windows
Mass Effect 2 PS3 Great game but the loading times totally killed the pacing. Maybe better to play this on PC (?)
One of the strangest games I ever played is Zomibe Nation for the NES. Really fun. Extremely hard... almost Battletoads difficulty. Both the song and game are amazing. Spent several hours completing the game without using savestates.
Rage on Nightmare difficulty (on PC but with Xbox 360 controller - 1080p muahahaha) I took a page out of a friend's book and ignored the lesser difficulties and leaped straight in to the deep end. It isn't a bad game, a little short (15 hours or so) and there is an annoying problem in that the cloud game saves didnt download on Windows reinstall but meh. There is also a problem with textures too given that the game was optimised for consoles and the PC port was lazy. Sadly I only have a quad core CPU so I couldn't really use the official workaround - you need 6-8 or maybe even hyperthreading to abuse the textures using the in game method. I could do it with my quad core but then there was a lag when loading textures into memory which took a good few seconds to pass which was annoying so I just disabled it. I never got around to using most of the weapons. I was quite content to use the sniper rifle on the mid to long range then switch to the combat shotgun and those boomerang things when enemies got close. I never did use the gatling gun thing at the end On the whole it was an enjoyable albeit average expereince but it does raise the bar for the next wave of average games as it is pretty good looking and for the sale price @ £5.09 it was cheaper, better and somewhat more polished than indie games around the same price. Imagine Fallout 3 without having to run for hours to get to the other side of the map and you get the picture. The downside being there are few areas to explore and the developers add longevity to the game by making you visit each area at least twice (a third time if you count the co-op mode too...). I'm not sure I can be bothered to play through it again, not after losing my first 8 hour game save to cyberspace, but it took me about 14-16 hours to complete the game from beginning to end and at the end of the day it was worth every penny I paid for it, but it isn't worth the RRP (to me anyway) as when I drop RRP on a title I want a lot more longevity. I guess I could try the multiplayer but I really can't be bothered whoring killboards anymore, so co-op it is for me.
wow vyothric, I once use to have turok 2 ( n64 ) and even that I was playing a lot on it, once it became too much crazy like huge labyrinths lvls and like there was a lot of frame per second problems ( was laggy as hell ), so I stopped playing and sold it.... its not a game that I just finished, but I completed it with my friend about 1 year ago; I'm talking about Beyond Good and Evil.... that game is so much good ! the universe, the gameplay, the story, the soundtrack... everything was cool !! ( great memories )
I completed Turok 2 back in the day. I once had to leave the N64 on overnight due to the large gaps between save points. I tried to play it again recently but got fed up of it. I played Beyond Good & Evil a few years ago. Good game.
I suppose people these days might have trouble with it. I didn't. Also completed: Star Wars: Episode 1 - Battle for Naboo (N64)
Duke Nukem: Episode 1 - Shrapnel City Duke Nukem: Episode 2 - Mission: Moonbase Duke Nukem: Episode 3 - Trapped in the Future
I started Orcarina of Time last night for the first time. I'm on my way to Death Mountain. lol Hopefully this will be the first game I will have completed in a very long time...
Borderlands playthrough 1 as Beserker (Brick) with a Sniper/Recon/whatever it is as my co-op partner (2 player) and an entirely sepearate playthrough as another completely different Beserker (Brick) with a Siren and Sniper/Recon as co-op partners (3 player) We are looking to do playthrough 2 AND make an entirely new character to play with our otherco-op naga (who for some daft reason is having their copy shipped from Canada) where I will possibly level as yet another Beserker (Brick) to co-op with 4 players. BTW I have actually tried the other classes and they don't entrhall me in the slightest. Also I have unique characters of the same class to play with different players, as host of the game they use my save as master and I only play with a particular character with particicular people to avoid contamination of missions etc. I'd quite like to play through with 4 beserkers... now that would be good muahahaha. I wouldn't say it is amazing or anything, it's kinda like a cell shaded world of warcraft if it was an FPS. Sadly thanks to the quest helper thing and the desire to get moving I/we never really read the quest logs etc and had the game volume turned low so as not to disrupt the voice comms which kinda ruined the story but yeah I'd play through again and reccomend people buy it when it is on sale as the game is good (we paid about a fiver each for GOTY... though partner #3 paid £20 WTF) but I wouldn't say it is £20 - each good. With that said I'm looking forwards to Borderlands 2 but I won't be able to afford to have it on preorder...
