Just did a 14hr sit down with Zelda Link to the Past and beat it. Hadnt played it in about 10 years, so I thought it was going to take me forever but I was suprised at how much I actually remembered.
Oh and I also just beat Super Metroid but sadly it was the downloaded version on the Wii not the original on the SNES. Felt kind of wrong not playing it with an actually SNES controller in my hand but it was still fun lol.
Dragon's Dogma. LOVE THIS GAME. Sure the menus are ackward and the graphics arent great, but it easily makes up for it in the gameplay department. Spent a ton of time in the post game dungeon and already started a new game.
Borderlands, seems it kept drawing me back until I had practically done all I could... Now the anticipatory wait for Borderlands 2. I guess it was a good thing I put off beating Borderlands until now, less time waiting for the sequel.
Isn't it limited to one save, lacks fast traveling, and has repetitive static spawn points for enemies? Not to mention the awful j-pop intro to the game, that was totally out of place. Oh yeah, it also had a wonky story that didn't make a whole lot of sense. Combat may be fun in it, but that's not all there is to gameplay; the game has a ton of cons that keeps it from reaching it's full potential. The latest game I've beaten would have to be Kingdom's of Alamur Reckoning, but the voice acting was a bit monotoned, and after you get so far in the game, you're too overpowered. Not to mention the studio that developed it went under, so we won't be seeing anymore patches or DLC for the game.
I dont care about any of that. Most of these issues were in Demons/Dark Soul as well, and I love those as well. No fast travel means every journey is a risk. J-pop istro is fine IMO. Dont care about the story. My main complaints are the menus and general ease-of-use. Overall though, the pros far outweigh the cons and I keep coming back to get more loot and max all the Vocations.
Picked up Dragon Age Ultimate Edition so I went and finished Origins for the second time, got all the trophies and finally completed Awakening I would never pay for the DLC so this all in one worked for me
007: Blood Stone I've been watching Bond movies recently, and decided to play this on the side. It was surprisingly decent considering the bad review scores it got and actually feels sufficently Bond-like times, but it does run out of steam big time near the end, deteriorating into tedious "go into a room and shoot a bunch of guys that come from a magic door" shootouts. The vehicle sections were a nice break from this, even though some of them were pretty frustrating. The scripted events during events during the car chases were spot on, though. Overall: 7/10 by the weird game review scale in which 7/10 is an "average" score for some reason, a solid 5/10 by the normal people scale.
never mentioned it but I beat Arkham Asylum about a week ago. Including all the riddles. Just have to do the challenges for 100%
I finished Deus Ex: HR yesterday, going back through now and doing all the side missions i missed, first run was a total of 13 hours.
Beat Uncharted 3 last week. Not as good as 2 but still enjoyable. Beat El Shaddai today. Not the greatest game, but I keep playing to see what strange environment Id be in next.
I completed Extremely Twisted Shadow Planet a few days ago and I can safely say that anyone who likes 2D affairs and/or metroid + some originality for good measure should certainly give this a try. May I also suggest Sword and Sorcery, the PC port for all those non-iOS gamers. PS: I missed you guys too
Just finished Crash Bandicoot 2. That game gets pretty tough near the end. It also has some pretty impressive graphics for a PSX game. The final boss seems like an homage to Earthworm Jim - I didn't catch that the first time I beat it. I think I might try to beat Star Fox Adventures next.
i just completed gta 3 on ps2 again was playing i on my iphone, and i didn't liked the controls of it, so i switched over. played it too much, and it still keeps being fun
Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Pretty solid. Game world felt small though and the endings werent Mass Effect 3 bad, but they werent all that satisfying.
Batman Arkham Asylum Fantastic game, the only thing that sucks about it is how most of the boss battles are exactly the same, but the exploration and combat are great. The first game that really makes you feel like you're playing as Batman.
It really is a great game, but the last boss battle was kinda of a letdown, imo. And the last gae that I finished was Lego Batman 2 for the Vita. Its a good game, but nothing great.
