Never beat any other MG, but Revengance got Monty Python levels of silly. Just straight up slap-stick shenanigans that come out of left field, as the game was taking itself fairly seriously up till them.

The ending was pretty wild but I think at that point the plot had some really serious themes and the humorous final boss was a welcome relief. Of course hes extremely hard which just makes you rage more. One of my favorite games of this generation.

All the MGS games seem to go pretty batshit crazy towards the end. Haven't played Revengeance yet, but I'm not really surprised by this turn of events.

Just finished playing through the single player on the new Tomb Raider. It's probably one of my favourite 360 games ever - essentially Uncharted with boobs.

    Binary Domain (PC)

Despite it being a bit cliche and not terribly original, I had a blast with this one. Great action. enemy design and decent story.

Watched some people playing this on twitch.tv and it looked fantastic. I think this is the game Uncharted wanted to be. The climbing elements in Uncharted are a joke where you just press up.

Even the climbing is very similar to Uncharted, although I do like that you have to essentially upgrade your climbing abilities to reach certain parts of the maps. And the fairly ridiculous jumping upwards from a hanging position also features in Tomb Raider. Overall, I'd say the single player is slightly better than Drake's Fortune, but maybe not quite up to the level of 2 and 3.

Beat Super Mario 3D Land for the 3DS recently. The game to me was way to easy.

I've heard the PC version is easier, the console version is definitely brutal.

Just completed Crackdown on the 360. Admittedly I wasn't bowled over when I first started playing but as you get more into it, it's really quite good.

Bioshock Infinite. Beautiful and fun, but still not as good and Bioshock.

Thats not a bad thing though, as I still think Bioshock is the best game this gen.

I completed Resident Evil 6 on Amateur the other day. I've recently spent my time farming skillpoints on Crhis Redfield's Chapter 3-5 on No Hope difficulty and bought everything available to me and I intend to complete the game on every difficulty with every character, however as one of my co-op partners wants to play it too I'm going to wait until I've done a couple of playthroughs with them before I grind the shit out of it.

I have to say I find the game quite enjoyable. Nope it isn't the same as the tank control games, I can't compare it to RE4 as to be blunt I've never played it, but I did enjoy RE5 and this is somewhat better, if a little linear.

I'm not sure how I feel about the multiple campaigns. I know in Lost Planet 2 strictly speaking there were several different factions in the one campaign, but the gripe there was due to a lack of continuity and no real explanation of who or what each faction did or why they were up next which sort of brings me back to the lols of Halo 2. I'm sure Capcom could have easily rolled the split campaigns into a single seamless story if they bothered to take a moment to introduce the characters as and when they first appear.

Anyhow, whether you love or loathe Resident Evil I found this £20 preorder well worth the purchase. It came with a free copy of RE5, which I already had so gifted to a friend and the DLC season pass for extra modes which don't interest me much. I also hate to sound like a snob but it looks like ass on consoles @ 720p. It is a different game altogether on PC @ 1080p60 on Ultra High and it is fully compatible with the Xbox 360 Controller to boot. Win Win :D
