Fable II. Literally a minute ago. I was dreading the final battle but it ended up never happening. I'm not sure if I'm disappointed or happy about this. Loved the game. I guess it's on to the third one, soon! I'm in the same boat as you, for both of these games! I've got Killzone on PS2 but never finished it. Thought about restarting but if it is better in the HD pack I will pick that up in the near future.
Finished Zelda Four Swords Adventures with the missus. The most annoying thing I found about the game is when the GBA goes flat and turns off, the game auto-quits and takes you back to the main screen! What a wank... Had do re-do the last level and the boss.. Shame a sequel never got released on the Wii + NDS. That would have worked nicely, or even better now with the WiiU tablet, seems like a perfect fit
Just finished Bioshock today and have to say I thoroughly enjoyed it, admittedly nothing too revolutionary but a nice solid game all the same. Made a start on the sequel as well while I'm at it, so far at least it seems pretty much on par.
Space junkie I'm a totally space junkie. Give me a space ship, startrekish weaponry and a freedom to use them at my will. Freelancer, Wind commander, Privateer, Starfleet Command...all awesome games. And now, some new interesting additions are coming! Last year I've played Sins of the solar empire, Starwolves and Starpoint Gemini, and they were all good. The very idea of Starpoint Gemini seemed best (mix of Starfleet command and Freelancer) but handful of bugs ruined some of its appeal. This year a sequel is supposed to hit the market. I've checked out the pics and technical specifications. Full 3D movement of large starships and an open streaming universe...wow, sounds great! I just hope bugs will be gone this time and I'm ready!!!
I haven't had much time the past few months to browse the forum regularly; hope I can get back soon. I just finished playing Super Castlevania IV (SNES); loved it! Excellent graphics, music, controls... a bit tough to complete without using savestates or similar, but still awesome!
Just finished the Halo Reach campaign. Overall I really liked it, except there were too many parts where you could get killed in one hit without even realizing who's shooting at you. No Flood level is again a plus.
I completed Renegagde Ops on 3 player co-op this weekend just gone. It is a short and kinda basic game and I played as the character with the armoured shield as the special ability which let me become immune to and even deflect incoming damage, but I enjoyed it. I didn't manage to get to level 30 on a single play through so I may go through it on my own at some point. Don't hold your breath though as it it takes less than a day to complete the game and I've owned it for a year or over and only just got around to playing it. One down, 200 odd more in my Steam collection to go
Aliens Infestation in the DS. Fun little metroid-lite sidescroller. I wish there was more to it, but I had fun. And if you havent hear the end credit music, Take a listen. You will be amused:
Just completed The Walking Dead on the 360. This is by far the best game I've played in years and do you know ow why? Because it draws you in, it makes you care about the characters and even makes you very sad in some situations. I loved every minute of it and would easily recommend it to anyone who loves a good story. I only wish the actual disc version was region free but unfortunately it isn't which means I was stuck with the digital download version.
Just finished the single player in Max Payne 3. Thought Rockstar did a good job overall, though I prefer the graphic novel sections in the first two games over the way they did the cutscenes in this one.
Just finished Portal 2 (single-player). I've finished it before - not sure how many times, probably over 10. It's not too difficult, but there's still some challenge to it. I found that this time I ended up solving the puzzles in ways that I had never considered before. I was pretty quick with remembering the solution to the puzzles since I've played it so many times before, but this time I focused on finding the fastest, most efficient way to get to the solution. It's a really fun game, and the story and dialogue (more often monologue) is brilliant. It's really the only game in the past 2-3 years that I've really been impressed with. I haven't decided what I'm going to play next. I've been playing Shenmue in short bursts, but I'm not sure if I want to finish it. I've also been meaning to beat the SNES version of Earthworm Jim 2. I've beaten the Genesis version countless times, but never the SNES version. Choices, choices...
Just finished the last Scenario in Shining Force 3 for the Sega Saturn.. What a seriously epic game. I pray everyday they would include all 3 of them on a blu ray and release it on the ps3 (it will never happen :/ )
1. did you muscle through it in Japanese, 2. you can read Japanese, or 3. there's a translation patch?
Anyone playing Metal Gear Rising? Just finished it and its amazing. Not a perfect game but incredibly satisfying.
