Halo 4. Campaign was pretty weak, id say the weakest in the series. Multiplayer is still fun but alot more random and CODfied.
I finished Halo 4 a couple of days ago and, although I did enjoy playing it, the story isn't the masterpiece I think we were led to believe. From what I can remember, I believe this is the first part of a new Halo trilogy totally designed and written by 343 Industries. Maybe they're building up to something bigger in the games to follow.
Just finished Jamestown: The Lost Colony on PC. Great 2D non-bullet hell shooter for 4 players with a great soundtrack. Really nice pixel-art. Plays great with a joystick. Can't recommend it enough.
I finished Halo 4, solo on Heroic and my conclusion is.... I'm pretty sure Bungie just sucked. I really enjoyed what 343 did with the series. And I look forward to future installments. I enjoyed each Halo less and less all the way til Reach which I thought was the best since Halo:CE. Halo 4 looks amazing, had a bunch of fun moments, I fell in love with Cortana, and when the credits rolled, my entire teenage years flashed before my eyes and i became depressed. lololol I just like seeing people on my friends list playing Halo again instead of dumb CoD. Here's to more Halo!!
Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow(DS) Got a DS specifically to play Castlevation. The first was pretty good, but in the Symphony of the Night/Aria of Sorrow level. A point of for pointless touchscreen use. Look forward to the next 2.
Double-S.T.E.A.L: The Second Clash Finally after many hours and hours of trying to complete this game, it's completed. The missions are a lot easier than Wreckless (as we all know it), and I mean FAR MORE easier. I breezed through the missions, and was only left to find all the car parts. It was a bit annoying when you have one part left and searching every corner of the city. After finding all parts I was left with 99.66% complete. The other two hidden cars had to be unlocked by destroying a certain amount of cars, and I believe it was over the 3000 mark..
Finished Halo Anniversary Edition, first time I've ever finished the game, I gave up on the Warthog escape last time and nearly gave up on it this time but pushed on. Now moving onto ODST
Finished Episodes 3 and 4 of The Walking Dead on PSN. Episode 3 is brutal, no game has affected me as much since Journey. Episode 4 is good, but it does have some technical issues. One part that annoyed me is that when you are shooting, the game is very generous with your aim so you can be not as precise and still get the shot. There is one part where this is critical, and the game suddenly, for one scene, requiere a more precise aim. That changed the story. Still, good stuff, can't wait how it all ends on episode 5.
Rainbow Six Vegas, finished this today, most frustrating issue i had was being mainly a pc gamer for FPS games i found it frustrating having to use the analogue stick to aim lol. now to get and play part 2.
Finished Rage earlier today. Loved the game but the ending really sucked! Hopefully they're just leaving room for a sequel.
Spec Ops: The Line An interesting storyline about war and a commentary on current military shooters, with at least one spot that'll make players question their actions. Unfortunately, the actual gameplay isn't on the same level, and it mostly feels like a typical "strawberry jam" cover shooter. Still, it's nice to see a military shooter that isn't all LET'S ALL JERK OFF TO MILITARY HARDWARE, and just for that reason it's worth playing through once.
Finally finished Majora's Mask on the Gamecube. When I first played this back in the day I was so disappointed with the 48 hr limit and having to go back through time... Overall a great game 9/10
yeah Rage has no DLC. Just beat: Max Payne 3. Well they certainly changed things around......for the worse.
Finished Batman Arkham City's story mode (including the Catwoman DLC). Now for the Riddler trophies :-/ Trying to get all story events cleared before Far Cry 3 turns up.
Geez, I've been away for a long time. I've completed in that time PS Vita- -Gravity Rush -LBP Vita PC -Just Cause 2 -GTA IV -GTA IV EFLC -Borderlands 1 -Borderlands 2 -Assassins Creed 1, 2, Brotherhood and Revelations -Bioshock 1 + 2 Why so many? Built a gaming PC. Felt the need to take advantage of the specs. Why not? Plus, I had a massive hole in me from not playing modern adventure games. I had no idea that Borderlands was that good of a game (2 was much better). Sure there's a couple I should have played and I haven't- but I'm getting there.
I've been slack at moderating recently. Why? Borderlands 2! A friend of mine bought it me and another mate as christmas presents as he will be away during the holiday period. He got us the physical copy with a nice embossed sleeve but all I had to do was copy the serial code into Steam and download the game. It was faster to do it this way from my 60mbit connection than to install from DVD and download the patches... but this way I dont have any bs disc required problems either. We started our three player co-operative campaign as we did on the original game. I was a Gunserker (Salvador) because I was a Beserker (Brick) and this class replaced mine. One mate was a Sniper and othe other was a Siren so they chose those classes again too. One of our co-op partners reeturned to work (damned shifts) so we started new characters for 2 player mode with my other co-op partner. I made a Siren (Maya) for a change as I originally had a 2 player and a 3 player Beserker (Brick) to keep the quest progress the same in each mode and he choose the Sniper as he was a Sniper in our 2 player co-op save for the original Borderlands. As my mate has an aggressive playstyle ie he runs off to steal all of the loot and killing only the enemies that gets in his way instead of you know, actually sniping as a sniper.... he tends to die often and leaves me fighting the respawns or reinforcements on my way tor evive him I had to spec my siren for her phase lock action skill to have increased duration, reduced cooldown and heal us both which sort of gimped my DPS, but it got us through the arenas ok so I must be doing something right. Oh and the bugger was at least 50k in cash ahead of me even after all of his respawn costs (he is a proper loot thief) and then the odd occasion I manage to ninja a crappy green item from right under his nose the usual loot arguments ensue but that is half of the fun haha! We beat the game on Normal difficulty including doing the majority of the optional quests, except for the epic lvl 50 post story mode raid boss (we were level 34 after beating the main story) as he has now gone back to work I've been grinding Borderlands 2 solo as a Mechromancer (Gaige). I've since beat the game on my solo character on both normal and the unlocked Vault Hunter difficulty modes and I'm currently farming The Warrior for some nice level 50 loot. The Warrior seemed to drop a legendary item each time he was killed in story mode but he has been coming up short since I've been rinsing him without a mission. The only legendary he dropped after dozens of runs was a Handsome Jack mask for use by a Gunserker... I respecced my character to slay him more quickly and found a good hiding / camping spot and I can kill him with on Vault Hunter difficulty quite easily now too yay. As soon as I hit level 50 I nuked my last ten vault chest keys for level 50 epics and ending up getting mostly junk with crap bonuses. The loot was much better when we used a couple of keys at level 34 to help us do the 5th Hyperion Arena and The Warrior At first I was fighting The Warrior toe to toe for 2-3 rounds, but after a few rounds I died and respawned and he reset, but I started shooting him from the steps without dropping into the arena which seemed to work, so I started famring him by suiciding them firing from the steps. After a while one of the bird htings, a Rakk or whatever knocked me down into the arena and by chance I managed to find a relatively safe spot to doge many of The Warriors attacks whilst still being in combat. Right by the arena exit to Eriridium Blight there is a large rockto the right (when facing arena centre) and if you go far right into it you can avoid for forwards firing fire breath and when he isnt doing that jump out and own him. You still have to avoid him throwing rocks which is rare and the birds / rakks divebomb from time to time but they are easy to kill and if you screw up, which is hard if you hide behind the rock from the flame attack, then you can kill them for a second wind revive. Due to this nice little cmap spot now what I do is fast travel to hero's pass, run past the enemies right to the end without killing any, if I hget knocked down RPG somehting in the face for a revive and jump / bunny hop as much as possible to avoid enemy fire. Then once I am in the vault I rearm at the vending machines, sell my junk, run down the steps into the arena to awaken The Warrior, then turn left and back on myself to the aforementioned camp spot, nuke the boss and rinse and repeat. I didn't purchase the DLC or Season pass yet. I intend to as it is a decent enough game, but my main co-op partner is away at work for another 8-10 weeks and I don't want to start the extra missions without him so for now I'll level up other characters and gear up. I have a bank full of skins and heads ready to give him too... which is making stockpiling weapons etc for my own personal use somewhat difficult but meh! The main gripe I have is that as the game is installled onto an SSD and my PC is pretty decent I can't see the hints or tips fro mthe loading screen as the game loads too quickly to have it reeadable in full... doh!
