Aged graphics aren't a problem to me, but frame rates can be. Since I'm used to higher frames and less blur, PD and 007 are hard to play now, along with a lot of older 3D games.
Exactly. A low number of polygons isn't necessarily detrimental to game mechanics, but a low framerate often is.
The VB is in a class of its own since most games are pseudo-3D or completely innovative in technique.
Yeah I think that the fact it was the only major portable system from 1997 to 2005 everywhere in the world didnt had anything to do with its amazing success 8 years without serious competition.....in that time you can take over any market no matter how shitty your product is...
Aged graphics are sometimes an issue. I can play most PSX and Saturn games fine, but when I recently booted up Mystical Ninja for the N64 (the first, RPG one) the graphics were very prohibitive. I hate fog.
aged graphics I don't mind. But gameplay is what irks me. example: any mortal kombat game. Completly and utterly broken compared to street fighter.
Agreed! Although MK is still a thing to me, and some people somehow have mastered that game, I really don't like playing it.
I do not agree; I still enjoy a good round of MK2! However most of the time I do mind ugly 3D graphics (like Burning Rangers)... But old 2D games most of the time still look good (kinda cartoony)
I'm working on a rap song about MK and how it's BS... "In MK2 I pull infinte combos out of my ass, 52 hits while wearing a raiden hat"... ...it needs work. But every MK game is broken. Want to do 45% damage with noob saibot in Trilogy? Low kick, low kick, lowkick, lowkick. Seriously.
