This comic is just so great  Gives me a good laugh every single time! But back on topic: Every single new Ridge Racer after V. Destrucion Derby Arenas Brutal Legend
What, like Too Human and Daikatana? Not many, most games that are shit are shit because of apparent reasons, long before any gameplay is involved.
Doom 3. Probably the last time I pinned huge hopes on a game, and that's no coincidence. From this gen, Eternal Sonata comes to mind.
Thank you! Eternal Sonata was simply awful. The plot made no sense, the characters were retarded, and the gameplay was outright atrociously boring. Terrible terrible game.
I'm just fucking tired of having to think about all the disappointments I have had with games along the years, too goddamn depressing... I'll rather play one of the good ones and enjoy it. They blew that one with heroes, which is sad since they were getting close to a good 3D formula with SA2 (except for the knuckles/tails levels) The way I see it the only chance for that franchise is giving it to someone else, like platinum games. Bayonetta and Vanquish were pretty cool
It was also (mercifully?) short with a ridiculously abrupt ending. And a pretty bizarre waste of its namesake, too - a game that takes place in Chopin's mind but has, what, half a dozen of his compositions? And only during weirdly incongruous real-world photo cutscenes? Strange game. The battle system was alright, I suppose - I kind of enjoyed how it opened up as you went on. And at least they gave the option of having the Japanese dub; I wouldn't have bought the fucker if they hadn't. I don't want to know how unbearable those characters must be with bottom-of-the-barrel English voice talent. At least I can mostly ignore the Japanese dub.
I thought the worst part was that someone had an idea about a video game based on all the characters being inside Frederic Chopin's head, and then that game actually getting made and released.
Yoshi's Fucking Story. I waited and cried over that game being delayed constantly(I was very young then ), and when it comes out it's just a straight run of what, four or five levels you can complete each within 5 minutes by just throwing your tongue at any fruit you see? They coulda made a whole game like the SNES one, which is what I was expecting the whole damn time. If you wanna get into lesser sequels, that game really takes it
dragonball gt for the playstation. It was slow, i thought it had a chance against tekken or virtua fighter i was wrong.... =(
Yoshi's Story was quite fun really, and could be a challenge (or at least harder) if you went for 30 melons on every level. I thought it was quite light-hearted, whimsical fun.. ..not a patch on Yoshi's Island, but I don't really see it as a direct sequel..
