dont mess with the gamespot guys! they are da shit yo! + master system wasnt that great..... viva la revolution!
I honestly feel that there are under 10 SMS games that I could find playable today much less enjoyable. The real problem with SMS was that all the games were ports, *by Sega*. Familiar, but with derranged color palettes and choppier scrolling. From my point of view, all the SMS zealots today were just disenfranchised gamers as kids, I think nostalgia got the better of them
Is easy to see this idiot from gamespot was that nerdy idiot kid who got kicked everyday in school. The only way he could have some fun was playing his stupid Nes. Now he's a grown-up, has a deep depression, since he's a complete failure in life, he cant code shit so he's out from the games industry: his dreams of making a game are impossible. What can he do to avoid suicide? work for a crap games site, with repeated scandals of fraud (they do charge publishers for good reviews) and little to no prestige at all. Even in such a low-end place he has the shitiest job: readers email. Obviously the only satisfaction he has in life is to bash other people consoles. This l337 attitude is the only way he can barely feel like the bullies that used to beat the crap out of him back in the Nes days.
I think its a fake picture, mainly because there isnt a record of that review on the site. http://www.gamespot.com/ps2/sports/barbiehorseadventure/index.html Still, I hate their reviews with a passion. The only review I thought was good was the Wild Arms II review. EDIT: Oh and IGNS score says 4.0. in the real site.
Did you ever try to play the games that weren't released on US? The SMS died on US alot earlier than the rest of the world. I'm sure we could point a lot more than 10 SMS games that are very good. PD
Well, I've nearly every US SMS and Mark III games, very few to the end mind you but I've tried to spend at least 10 minutes with each title. Which games do you have in mind? The Sonics, Codemasters games or later Game Gear ports? I don't have much interest in those since I see them as being after the fact, and more ports. If you know of something original to the SMS from beyond the grave, please let me know.
Really? I've got 2, and a Power Base Converter. One was dead until I discovered the trace around the power connector had been lifted from years of using a Genny model 1 AC adapter on it. A quick solder jump and a wire for guarenteed sucess and it was back in business.
You should take a look at: http://www.smspower.org/museum/lists/smsall.txt There you can find a list of the games not released on US. It's a good way to start. PD
The Barbie Horse Adventure Review. Actually, I remember some member around here wanted it or something similar, because of its rarity.
