I no longer have a proper gaming room because I don't game as much as I did in the past. Most of my stuff is in storage, with the exception of my oldest and favorite consoles. They're crammed into/onto two old office desks. http://i40.tinypic.com/15nxh7c.jpg http://i44.tinypic.com/5as46t.jpg http://i41.tinypic.com/2zycumu.jpg
Well mine are Debug and Japanese. Prefer to run most of my games on the Japanese machines, and use the Debug for some of the debug discs I have.
Hexigon : You would probably kill me if you knew how little I paid for the Famicom there... You should check out your Hobby shops thread in Japan for some more things I have in my room. Sanshiro : Because you can't play DVDs on a debug Although I rarely play DVDs, but that is not the point
Some real nice set ups in here! I recently moved away from modern TV's in my games room, TBH I very rarely use my current gen consoles although the PS3 comes in handy as a blu ray player, so i decided it was time to go back to a CRT as the retro stuff looks so much better on them, and have a separate set up away from the main living room again. I was lucky enough to bag myself a 32" Sony Trintron flatscreen from Freecycle and I am over the moon with it . The Sega stuff is connected by Scart and the PS2 is hooked up with Component cables, all of it goes into splitters and then to the TV/Hauppage HD PVR to stop lag when recording. It was actually pretty hard to get the HD PVR working with the older consoles and a CRT, real easy on modern stuff but I suppose that's what it was designed for! So yeah, nothing overly special, but it's exactly how I want it, apart from maybe a nice surround sound system when I move it to a bigger room next year .
Well both were less then the cost of a 1.25L bottle of coca cola. Although the SFC Jr had coke spilt into the cart slot so was sold as junk but a quick clean and it was up and running again. The FC Jr required a minor repair and that was up and running again too, the pads were another bottle of coke on top of that...
you own a twilight zone pinball machine? Does it still work right (like does the heavier ball work when it should etc?) that is so awesome... awesome awesome just.. wow am i jealous.
Ha, I can identify with those of you who have your stash in the same room you sleep in. Gets cramped doesn't it? Wish I had the luxury of a "gaming room" or hell even a living room where I could leave anything out in. My sister is Autistic amongst other things; if you value your electronics you don't leave them out for very long. She gets bored like the rest of us. Though I'll be moving off to Uni soon where entire houses are pretty cheap all things considered. Maybe I can find a sleek living room to stock with goodies.
