Thanks for the kind words. I appreciate it! There were indeed some gems on the Vita, many I'm also missing out on. The next Vita I would like to own is the 1000 Series. They look so cool, especially with the OLED display. Oh yeah, it took me by surprise too. Hahaha. With many NBA games going around you'd think it would only be about AU$2, but since only allegedly 10 ever left EA's factory, it must have some sort of significance to the PlayStation 3's vast library. Either way, it is a funny concept, as even the Limited Run games can't compete with it. Hahaha. I finally managed to finish the games and consoles part. Only thing left is my press kit, accessories (including the rare Resident Evil 4 chainsaw controller) and something that never really goes on sale in stores often, but online it's a vast amount is the SCPH-1180 Dual Analog (no vibration model, it's an American version, unlike the ultra rare and infamous Japanese model) for the PlayStation 1.

    Kind regards,

Definitely get a 1000 series Vita, the OLED looks so good on it. I have two, a regular and a pre-release one. I've never actually held a 2000 series in my hand but the OLED just looks so damn good I can already tell why people prefer it.

Especially now since you can get good boxed ones for around AU$160, I should take that chance while I still have it. Pre-release? Is it like a prototype one? (like the one that looks like a PSP Go and has a HDMI port) The 2000 Series is good don't get me wrong, but it lacks a bit of quality as well as featuring an LCD screen and the overall thin design makes it a bit odd to hold in the hands. If only people could see the potential the Vita had (Japan loved it, everywhere else it was ignored), and it's even more of a shame that Sony probably won't be making another handheld again due to the failure in western markets.

    Kind regards,

Nah, it's just a near final prototype. It's got a different model number, a very slight hardware difference internally, and was a demo model at CES 2012.
The original version is definitely a solid and premium feeling unit.
    Definitely a shame..

I think I saw one of the CES prototypes on eBay. It looked cool, just a shame I missed out on it. I remember I tried purchasing a 1000 Series at EB Games (technically an renamed GameStop), but they had ones that were either badly damaged or none at all, so I had to purchase a 2000. Don't get me wrong, it's good, it's just a bit too thin, only upside it has is a USB Type C connector, so that's easy to source if you ever lose or break one.

    Kind regards,
