Yea but as it is, 16M won't play 10% of the library (24/32M games, which are often the most sought after) and upgrading the unit to a standard 32M (99% of the library) requires soldering SOJ chips and reprogramming the PEEL chips.

    Not the Final XDK/Recovery Set

I'm not posting this to try and poo-poo anyone's sales, but I did think that it was important to point out that the 2001 recovery set is NOT the final build for XDKs.

The currently XDK/Recovery Disc is December 2004 (and there were quite a few revisions between the end of Gavrouche's list and the most recent build).

While the prior builds are likely of some interest to collectors, they are not too useful if you are attempting to do dev work. If you are looking to collect, then what's here is fine. If you are looking to dev, you will want something newer than what Gav is offering.

    Just FYI.

...You should of slowed down and read the post m8, it actually says:

August 2001 FINAL Recovery - For DVT4 Systems (current debug kits and xdks) - This is the first ever final recovery disc.

...The key statement being " This is the first ever final recovery disc"

First = The first ever XDK at 'Final' build stage.
    Final = Retail / DVT4 >

Triend to PM you, but you were over quota. So here goes a try.

    I´d like to buy:

1 x DC Devkit (Set 5.24) in very good condition. No marks or scratches and still white all over and 1 x GD Writer. Fully working. £350!!! Grab it fast!

If that is Sold, I would still like to buy a HKT-01 and HKT-04. Any other DC dev items you might have for sale are of great interrest.

    Thanks.

He ran off with a bunch of money owing a lot of people a lot of development equipment. I don't remember if it was resolved...I just remember him promising to make things right...

i think i offered to go around to his house and pick up the items to send them off to people at thier own cost.

Few people took me up on the offer however he said he would rather not give the items to a stranger (items that arent even his... interesting that he can take this decision even after the owners have stated they wanted it).

After that i think he blocked me on msn after a few weeks.

Isn't there some sort of way you can purchase items directly from people with "some sort" of contract, like eBay, instead of just handing out money to forum members?

The whole process scares me some times...

I'm still sitting here without my $1100+ of goods. He told Paulo some bullshit about "UPS is going to pick up in a few days" and then told him that him picking up the goods would be a "good backup plan if things fall through." Right then and there, I knew nothing would show up. I know zappenduster was in the same boat, but who was the third person?

    That's what I'd do.
Someone ripped me off for £60 on eBay about 8 years ago, and he lived about 200 miles away... My dad drove me there one sunny afternoon (got his address, cos we paid via cheque), and kicked the shit out of him in front of me, then took his wallet.

Moral of the story? My dad is cool, thats the moral.

People shouldn't take that kinda shit just cos someone lives a long way away. If it happened now, I know for a fact I'd fly there to pick stuff up.

    Andy
