Hi all i couldnt find a topic to match (please point out if i missed it) but today i ended up with a few gd-r review discs the games are : rainbow 6 marvel vs capcom 2 alone in the dark gauntlet legends aerowings 2 headhunter virtua tennis and jo jo's bizzare adventure also a few ps1/2 review / master? discs : resident evil survivor 2 police 24/7 2x capcom vs snk 2 and a timesplitters preview pics to follow if anyone wants them. But are they worth anything or rare at all ??
Resident Evil Survivor 2 might fetch a nice price atleast. For some reason, promotional copies of especially RE titles fetch insane prices at times. If you want someone to take preciously good care of it, I'd gladly take it off your hands, but if you want a small fortune, you should probably go the ebay route The Time Splitters preview disc is of interest too, if it's a demo disc and not the actual full game by the way, so PM me if you don't want to hold onto it.
I saw Time Spliters for the JP N64. Then again I remember seeing Time Spliters somewhere else in a store for DC or another system.
Timesplitters was never released for N64, although the team who developed it came from the team who did Goldeneye. The second and third Timesplitters games were released for Gamecube and Xbox as well as PS2.
my dcx disc wont boot them is there a way for me to try them on my dc? jo jo police 24/7 res evil s2 headhunter timesplitters marvel vs capcom 2 aerowings 2 virtua tennis alone in the dark rainbow 6
Mike, If you willing to sell the Resident Evil one Ill be glad to take it off your hands. Lemme know via PM how much you are looking for. Also you'll need a System Disc 2, an original or a Katana Dev Kit. Usually the System Disc 2 is the cheaper option, but you will need a DC from a specific region if the GDR's are region encoded.
is a system disc 2 one of those things that might be able to fall off the interweb and onto a hard drive ? or is it mastered ? as for resi i dont know if its real (no test ps2 to check) and i know your a huge resi fan will have to see whats its worth and will offer your a fair price first edit its a ps2 disc alright (its in my dvd-rom) but not sure as to the game on it it says on the front : RESIDENT EVIL SURVIVOR2 2001/12/13 (C) CAPCOM CO. . LTD. 2001 ALL RIGHTS RESERVED S/N 0009 the inside ring is marked : DVD-R FOR AUTHORING MITSUI GOLD looks like it has a low sereal number tho this score was pretty sweet lol
Assuming the GD-Rs are the same region as your DC, you can try this: 1. Remove screws from the DC and remove the cover. 2. Hold down the lid sensor with a rubberband or whatever you want. 3. Power your retail DC to the CD player menu. 4. Load any DC game (I used an NTSC-U Sonic Adventure). 5. Play Track 2. 6. Track 2 would probably stop and the screen would remain at the play menu. 7. Remove the DC game and load the GD-R (While it is still spinning and while the lid senor is still tied down). 8. Now go back to the menu and the GD-R should boot. Nice find!
System Disc 2 is floating around out there but it wont work no matter what you do. You need an original. They are kinda hard to come by now, especially at a sane price. If you need help in ID'ing it LMK and Ill post a picture of an original. Check your PM
Incase someone searched for SD2 and was looking for genuine pics: S/N is blurred as it could be used against the dev. ray:
so thats what one looks like, ok cool as there is no way im taking any of my beloved pal dreamcasts apart lol
better shot of timesplitters. As its nearly 1am here im off to bed but my pm is open for ideas and chat
Cool Mike, I compared the writing and such from your Alone in the Dark 1/2 you have showing, it appears identical to the one I have. Great stuff! Can't wait until you can test 'em!
