Oh come on, don't just act as if it was completely normal that a stranger from the internet gives a $1000 gift box to another stranger who just happens to be a girl who just happens to share an interest in a male dominated hobby.

Sorry but uhh, you don't just give a game like panzer dragoon saga (let alone the mountain of other games or a new in box system) casually over the internet as a gift to some girl you probably don't even know. This guy is just doing what every other hugh hefner wannabe does, he spoils her just to get that "one thing" in return.

 

Without reading everybody's answer, this is absolutely amazing. I'd like to think of it as a good gesture. I felt really happy for her and you really can see it that she is speechless about the deal.
I really don't get why some people are hating this so much. Someone on youtube was crying about how she won't be able to appreciate them and that it was a waste.

Looser is right. Who gives a shit if she did or didn't get them from an admirer. If she did that's so lovely and if she didn't and just boxed up her own stuff for attention, so what. I've got better things to worry about in my life as should all of those who are bitching.

 

That is an incredible Saturn collection. She's got it made.

Man, Street Fighter Zero 3, Panzer Dragoon Saga, Saturn Bomberman, and Guardian Heroes all delivered in one box to your door. That might be the only time something like that's ever happened (counting out crazy eBay lots).

I mean if I had a collection of rare console games I'd give it someone I know well, someone who would appreaciate it and take care of the stuff!

 

Didn't she launch the Panzer Dragoon Zwei on the floor too? Anybody in the who's who of Saturn collecting knows that you open a USA Saturn box slightly diagonally to avoid the disc 1) falling out of the case onto the floor 2) getting trapped in between the hinge sections.

 

saturn cases were awful globally except in japan, pal dreamcast cases looked nice but were also terrible.

 

Hate, hate, hate the PAL cases. Barely close, barely hold the disc.

 

I don't know all the circumstances around the youtube show that girl runs, but it's not impossible at all to get something free or way cheaper than usual, just because you helped people online or launched a project that is worth contributing to. I get loot that way every now and then as well.
