i agree i think the jealousy is hanging out of some people, along with some peoples feeling of injustice.

Pretty much. Unless she's dressing like a skank and acting like she's the hottest thing on YouTube, her appearance should not come into the equation. As far as I can tell, she's just another random YouTube vlogger. Aren't there many people here that do the exact same thing, just with a penis?

Maybe the guy was really, really generous. Maybe he wanted to be her friend. Maybe he wanted some of that puss. Either way, I don't think a discussion on her appearance is warranted at all. She doesn't seem like a bad person. Totally uncalled for.

The guys from Giantbomb.com get boxes full of old games and snacks all the time, too. Sometimes are silly things, sometimes are cool things. Just search for "Giant Bomb Mailbag" on youtube to see them. Here's the latest one.

 

Maybe, but Youtube doesn't allow those kinds of videos.

 

Personally I have little to no interest in US versions of Saturn games, with the exception of Panzer Dragoon Saga. Japanese Saturn games often have content that wasn't in the US version, plus they have better cover art, and they don't come in those horrible, easily breakable big boxes. So, if some girl wants to win my heart with Saturn games, she better get the Japanese versions.

But still, numerous guys make vlogs about video games all the time. Why can't a girl do the same without constantly being judged by her appearance? Although I guess if you willingly put yourself on camera you have to expect these kind of things, especially if you're female talking about a predominately male hobby.

Because that's the only thing a viewer knows about her?? Are you seriously thinking that girls don't do the same? They are just not as active in video game forums... but you are certainly aware that first reactions such as "Oh this singer is cute" are more common than "Oh this singer sings good".

Besides, this girl just received a $1000 package of the rarest US Saturn games there are. It's sort of obvious that she had no idea what she got, she didn't even know Street Fighter Zero 3, so of course people try to figure out a reason why some guy would send a girl such a gift, although she couldn't even fully appreciate it. Because he likes her? If so, why? He doesn't know her personally, he just knows what she looks like and what she says about games - so... in order to understand the "donator", one would naturally judge her by her looks first.

 

Maybe the "donator" just gave them away to piss off people that pay attention to that stuff, he could be reading various comments and laugh his ass out with them , basically he trolls in a different level

Women certainly judge men based on their appearance. I think everyone does to varying degrees. Doesn't mean we need to openly put random people down just because we think they're ugly. That's grade school stuff, and it's uncalled for in a civil discussion. Not saying I've never done it, just that I don't think it's right when the person in question does nothing to warrant the criticism.

When I see people like hannahminx get called names, I'm not bothered by it. The girl is a slut that uses her gender and appearance to gain popularity. She deserves whatever criticism she gets about the way she looks or personality. When I see girls like the one in the video get called names, I can't help but feel bad for them. The girl doesn't seem to use her appearance to further herself, she's just a nerd talking about video games. It's us that draw conclusions about her for reasons she can't help.
