Just curious, what's everyone getting their girl this coming Christmas, if you don't have one, what is a good idea to gift? I want something meaningful, but I'm out of ideas..

Take whatever her favorite thing is, and make it unique. I haven't fully decided what Im getting mine yet, but it'll likely be related to the Little Mermaid, and hopefully something that she doesnt have hah.

Hm, every year the same question... :) Dunno though. Gonna buy something in the last second, as every year.

Its my birds birthday tomorrow, and I got her wii fit. They appreciate subtle suggestions best via the medium of presents.

    1. Cut a hole in a box.
    2. Put your junk in that box.
    3. Make her open the box.
And that's the way you do it.

I just broke up with mine but I bought her exactly what she wanted as an early X-Mas present: a bigass electric griddle.

Though here is what I have done in the past: listen to what she says and make small notes about it (O'rly?). My ex got from me for random presents and as for anniversary/birthday gifts and so on: sealing wax (for sealing envelopes), a calligraphy pen set (cheapy starter one but it was the one she was looking at for some time), imported Kit-Kat bars from Japan of flavors not available in the US, Monopoly Here and Now Edition for Windows (she was on a Monopoly kick at the time and it was $10 at Staples), chocolate, gift certificate to a sex toy store, and a few other things I'm sure I'm forgetting about.

I usually don't buy things products.

    I'm like to create things.

Luckily, I work at a floral design studio.
    Last sub-anniversary I made this:

It went over quite well, not surprisingly.
All the flowers were unsellable due to our high standards (they were very slightly wilted) so they were headed for the trash anyway. Free ultra brownie points.

I'd say get the obvious thing (maybe something you need around the house or whatever), and then surprise her with something that means more than that, something not necessarily functional.

I'm predicting that the next picture is exactly the same except there is a lady's hand about to turn off the lights.

With a floral arrangement like that, anything's possible.

Also, his lights have a very sexy switch.

What I used to do for my ex was I'd get her a small sized gift and overwrap it, with a vengeance. I gave her a DS Lite in a box big enough for a television, which had other boxes and packing peanuts and whatnot.

She did get me back, though, with the same box.

No idea what to do for my current girlfriend who I've been dating for about three weeks. Will be as cruel, probably.

Normally I try to get her something she wants but I be creative in how I deliver it.

This year though. Her (and me) are probably getting nothing for xmas since we are buying our first condo (closing date is at end of november). To her, that's all she wanted anyways.

Already in October you are worried about christmas? you sound like my gf.
I wish I could just get her nothing for christmas, as I just like to buy her gifts at random dates instead of all those stupid commerically invented fucked up days.
But life isn't simple like this, as mainly women thrive on these days and we man basically have no choice but to get them something or break up before (man I miss the days I would do that just because birthdays/christmas/valentine or whatever was coming)

Just ask her what she wants, it's easy and at least you will be getting something she really wanted instead of having to act like she likes it just for the surprise of it all.

I still don't know what I'll give to her, but I like to do surprises :)
