Anyone know a good place to buy vinyl records online? I know ebay is an option but the shipping is so slow half the time and the area I live in has like only 3 record shops.

Mixture of various artists really. Nothing too specific. Though lately i've been searching for metallica and iron maidn. As well as beck and jamariquai. Also some pink floyd. As you can tell from a couple of titles I'm really getting into the collecting of it.

I like LPNow.com, although you are pretty much limited to what they have in stock now since they rarely get new items nowadays. You're close enough to LA that you should come up here some Saturday and spend a few hours at Amoeba. I have been to record shops around the world and I have never found one that has as many new and used but mint condition records at cheaper prices anywhere. I can't say for sure how many total records they have in stock, but just in the Rock section I would estimate 20,000 or more. They literally get hundreds of new records every day. I only wish they sold video games.

Oh I know about Amoeba. I remember the first time i went there my jaw litterly dropped on how much space was dedicated to records.

However as much as I love taking a trip down to la, it is a bit expensive on the gas side for me.

To just go back forth alone would probably cost $80 in gas, that not even including traveling la itself.

I do notice the record shops I've been to seem to charge a much cheaper cost then most online stores do.

    A few in the UK....

    Esprit
    Vinyl Tap
    Vinyl Exchange
    Vinyl Records

If you're ever in London, try the Music & Video Exchange in Notting Hill, if it's still going. There's a few shops in Soho, too - down Berwick Street (the street on the cover of the Oasis album What's the Story Morning Glory).

Oh, you could try Bagatelle in Long Beach, California Albums in Hollywood, or Earth Wave Records in Cotati.
