I tried playing it over X Link Kai and it worked for me. But that was years ago. Very fun though. If I remember right.. I also played the original Halo on X Link Kai too. Remember the Halo 2 Killtrocity Map Pack? Now that was cool. Let the good times roll.
i'm actually still logged in. there are very few people left. as of right now there are only 2 people playing. but there's a handful that are still idling. i am for sure in the last 50 though.
So whats the deal then, as long as you logged in before they dropped xbox1 support, then you can stay on until until you disconnect/turn off your system? If so, im interested to see how long you guys can keep it going.
They have disabled the login, so there'll be people until they all eventually log out or their internet connection drops or their Xbox's psu melts down
yeah, there's at least 17 left for sure. i'm honestly surprised my internet connection has been stable for almost a week straight! lol
This may turn into a legendary thread. I used to play on XLK. Never have had a Live account. Wish I did, so I could have logged in that last night and legitimately been playing online on Live for the first time.
Welp, my internet connection finally gave out on me at about 2am on Wednesday April 21, 2010. My 360 has been running since 9pm on Wednesday April 14th. It's been fun while it lasted. Played games with some pretty cool cats.
:crying: When i turned on my 360 to play some FF13 last night ( or should i say this morning?) and didnt see you online i figured as much. At least you kept it going for as long as you did! Look at the bright side, you can at least play Halo3 now ( j/k, i know halo3 sucks ) Have you tried Halo2 on PC? Im wondering how similar that is to the xbox version. Im sure with them pulling xbox1 support from live, the amount of people playing the PC version is gonna skyrocket, might be something to check out. On a side note, if there is ever a point in time that you can no longer play the original Unreal Tournament online id prolly have to go on a real life monster kill. ( J/K!!!!!! lol)
Halo 2 on PC feels awkward. All of it's there though, even the button glitches (double shot, double melee, BXR). The players however, are even whinier than the 12 year olds on XBL believe it or not. No matter what, if you go on any sort of spree, HACKERHACKERHACKER and shit. Ugh. I'll stick to XBConnect for Halo 2 online for now. I was using it exclusivly for awhile since I had a modded Xbox and I still use it for Halo 1.
Would it be possible (theoretically at least) to run a private server for halo2 Xbox? i realize this would probably require a modded system, but would there be a way to force the xbox to connect to a private server, instead of xbox live?? If so, there may be hope for you guys yet. Maybe someone more knowledgeable would be so kind as to enlighten us?
Now it really ended. http://multiplayerblog.mtv.com/2010...lasts-every-other-halo-2-player-on-xbox-live/
