I just heard about this today. Anyone else know anything about it? Looks like Google is getting into the cable business now. http://fiber.google.com/about/
It's only in Kansas atm afaik... I would get it in a heartbeat. I have 30/5 right now and 300/65 is $300 a month. Meanwhile in Korea, 1000mbit is normal... and like $40 a month
I have the max speed fios quantum, and its not bad, its great really. But they have to have the shittiest tv services ever, the boxes always have internet connection problems and my current one(5th) has an a really bad HDMI port that has been warped within 6 months and had problems prior. I would be interested in gigabit internet and tv for 120 a month, that is a great deal. I'll probably give it a shot when it makes it to MA, if it does.
Tempting, that free plan. I don't get anything higher anyways. The highest DL speed I've seen on any computer in my house it 1MB/s. Damn Canada. EDIT- KANSAS? Darn. That looked like something I would buy!
I'm getting 100/25 Mb at the moment for the same price, so if it did ever get there I'd change in a heartbeat.
Seems Google likes Kansas a lot ever since a town there changed it's name to Google for a day a while back.
I love Fios My box hasn't given me any issues besides when I was trying to set up my HDMI splitter. We get EVERYTHING (literally everything) and upper tier internet and everything is great, there are days I have to reset the router but otherwise no issues at all.
