Why hasn't anyone mentioned this? It's was out yesterday and it's pure sex, definately one of the best driving games out there. I bought it but not had a chance to play it properly. Still have this weekend. :dance:
Nobody here likes the ps3 and if you openly admit to it, exspect bricks to be thrown your direction. No truthfuly i've been slow on news. Yeah the BR disc version is on sale in japan and today the PSN downloadable version is avalible. Personaly I think I will pass because I still need to pick up some PSP games (I want hotshots golf portable 2 & patapoon or a game I can't remember how to say since it's in japanese).
I'll to get a PS3 in January just because of GT5 Prologue. Too bad the damn thing costs a small fortune.

I missed the demo, unfortunately I got my PS3 too late and they took it down from the Japanese store. Do you know when GT5P will see a western release? I'm guessing they won't allow us to download a demo like the Japanese store did.
What's funny though is the fact that it's basically cheaper to buy the retail disc version then to buy and download it because most shops are selling it for less then the RRP and with discount cards it's even cheaper. I got mine for about 4200 yen. :nod: Johnny if you love GT then you will love this, there are a few issues in the London course with slight pop up but they did fix the pop up in the daytona super speedway course so I have faith that they will fix the other issues too and what's better? At least on the positive side at least I won't get the ring of death will playing it. :lol: The GT5 Prologue demo still works but all the news and videos have ceased to work and GT HD still works but I have a feeling that the tables will cease to be in a few weeks. Still at least I can play the game with a real steering wheel and not have to hold a plastic wheel with a wiimote in it or have to use a wheel that doesn't have more then a 360 degree turning circle and better still I don't have to buy a new wheel just because I have a new console. :thumbsup: Well done Sony and Logitech. :nod:
Yeah, i know i'll have to buy a PS3 sooner or later. I was talking with a friend that would try to get one for the same price in USA, but the damn customs is more efficient this time of the year. I honestly will not pay 2.500 Reais for a videogame just because GT. I only bought the PS2 two years after it was released. I don't want to wait that long for the PS3 though.
I want to pick up the retail version, but I just cant be bothered to import it...and buying from the JPN PSstore is still annoying, no?

They only removed the demo from the Japanese PSN store-front, you can still download it directly from the server. OMG, thanks! Edit: I downloaded the demo and have it on CD if anyone needs it in the future and the link dutchconsolefreak posted stops working. Unfortunately, the proxy server is not working on my machine. Grrrr. If anyone gets Prologue on import, please report as to whether it works on a US machine. I'll buy the disc at some point rather than downloading as I do not have a Japanese credit card.
Isn't PS3 games region free? I think it would play just fine on a US console. I can't guarantee though.
Devs can but nobody does (Stranglehold was almost made region locked). There is an artificial region lock for thoes who play on an SDTV. Some ntsc games don't have the SD pal render mode supported and some Pal games dont have the 480i render more supported. Yet if you play on HDTV then you're fine.
