Holy shit, how to I install things like this, do you know of a page you can link me to with some info on installing realistic mods and cars ect? I know what you mean, there was a comedian (Dara O'brien) who pointed out that games are the only form of media which deny you access to the content you just bought unless you jump through hoops. Fast forward to 2:40
Was GTAIV PC as mod friendly as say, Bethesda games? any info on how mod friendly GTAV PC is going to be?
I'd say its pretty darn mod friendly. The files aren't encrypted to shit and there's even a file called "handling.dat" that you can open in notepad and openly edit the handling specs of every vehicle. This includes suspension, gears, brakes, buoyancy, front or rear wheel drive, and more. They even give you instructions. other mods like the Hill Valley mod and the Simple Trainer mod are as simple as drag and drop into the installation directory. Unless you wan to install different character skins, in which you'll need a utility called SparkIV. With the handling.dat file I made the ambulance's suspension raise have a value to 2, and the center of mass be 1.63, which leads to a car that is double its height (2 meters off the ground) and when it tips over, it springs back up onto its wheels. You can also edit the grippyness of the wheels to make the car infinitely grippy so it never slides. also, make the infernous several million kilograms- it still handles normally, but you push everything out of the way like its nothing, including other cars. last thing- if you want some laughs, edit "cabby" with centre of mass at -10 and weight at 10,000,000kg. Start the game, and enjoy. Just don't get near them.
Nice... I guess new car skins and such is pretty straightforward too? Might have to pick GTA4 up on steam summer sale and mess with some of these mods...
SparkIV is used for skinning- it allows you to edit the disc image-like files in the game directory that contains the textures.
Well if I can get that back to the future mod working that'll be a blast, I've got a mate who's a BTTF fanatic. EDIT: just found this - LMAO! They've updated it since that last video and you can apparently now travel to the old west and back. Insane...Read dead theft auto anyone?
Same here! and yeah... oh god.. IV's multiplayer... You couldn't be left alone in Free-play. Always someone had to come to stalk you and kill you with a AK-47 while I had a pistol.... and one time there were two guys, both on Sultan RS's chasing me, shooting at my car until it exploded and then KILLING me... for no reason at all... just to ruin my experience. One time though, two assholes in a Annihilator came flying towards me while I was down on the ground in a Blista Compact just driving around and they came.. ONLY to kill me... I was on a straight road and there was a right turn and nothing else... I was driving as fast as possible and they crash into something.. explode and both die while I get away on a Blista hahaha... In your face losers! :3
Yeah, San Andreas was best 3D GTA. In GTA 4 I was missing driving skill RPG elements, swimming, and jumping from that big mountain on motorcycle and use parachute! And it looks like they gonna return all these elements to GTA 5.
http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/08/15/grand-theft-auto-online-revealed This online "mode" is more like a full game, sounds kinda like a GTA MMO except not boring. Can't be worse than APB, at least
I pre-ordered it, I'm pretty excited about it. GTA IV was a disappointment for me. The missions and the city were very boring (and those stupid 'friends' who wanted to go bowling and darting). San Andreas is still one of my favorite games so it's great that GTA V takes place in San Andreas. The trailers and gameplay trailer are looking promising. You can do a lot of things in the city besides doing missions. I hope that having 3 playable characters brings some more variation to the gameplay instead of "Go to places X and kill person Y".
