Thanks for the heads up. Just one more question, will the LITE version output both outputs simultaneously? Like in a splitter? Thanks.

Yes, two outputs simultaneously. There are all the features of gscartsw, just no VGA.

This is amazing! I might wait for it instead. I love to play on my CRT and record in HD at the same time. This would allow me to remove my SCART shinybow splitter out of the workflow. Do you have an estimate "release" date for the LITE?

    SHello.
    Do gscartsw support:
    - RGsB (sync-on-green) every scart switcher not pass sync on green.
    Video on 8.37-8.53

    - Toro dc box with 15/31khz through Scart (I want to get out 31khz on gscartsw)
    Do this work?
    Sega Dreamcast 31khz VGA-> Toro dc box 31khz scart -> gscartsw 31khz scart-> XRGB-mini Framemeister 31khz-> hdtv 31khz

Toro dc box support 31khz scart and XRGB-mini support 31khz scart but is there support 31khz scart on gscartsw?

Sorry confusing but I hope you understand what I mean.

It forwards the signal as is, you will still get Gs from switch output. But obviously it won't separate it from G.
This works for most people here. For some it doesn't, I didn't look into problematic cases though. Here I own Hanzo and ArcadeForge. I can confirm that I get 31kHz signal on my Framemeister.

I just thought I'd give some feedback on the switch.

I actually got mine some time ago, probably one of the ones from the initial batches that didn't come supplied with a PSU. well I tried it with the following systems:

Super Famicom Jr RGB modded by Videogameperfection
    Sega Saturn jap
    Sega Megadrive mk1 jap
PC Engine Duo R RGB modded

I plugged the switch directly into my 14" Sony Trinitron and all systems looked amazing. I then tried all the same systems plugged into a Framemeister, and again everything looked amazing.

I did have one system that would not display a picture though, my RGB modded white PC Engine. This system works fine when plugged directly to my CRT and Framemeister using an RGB cable from retrogamingcables. I'll be honest I have no idea how it's been modded as it was bought pre modded of eBay. Any clues?? It's not a deal breaker as my Duo R works great using the switch.

Another odd thing is I get a squeaking sound from the switch when I power down my Megadrive. Is this something I should worry about? I'm using oem pal Megadrive PSU to power the switch and a third party PSU to power the Megadrive.

All in though I'm really happy with the unit.

On a final note does anyone know where you can buy a PSU for the switch. As much as the Megadrive one works great it's a bit big and I'd prefer something a little smaller. Thanks in advance for tips :)

This is normal, audio filter capacitors discharge.

I currently source this power supply with every switch:
    https://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/xp-power/VER05US090-JA/1470-2780-ND/5023722
It's universal and pretty inexpensive, international adapters included.
But newest switches have positive power polarity so in your case you will need polarity change adapter, like this:

Just curious on the reliability of the auto switching? Anyone have any issues? I don't see a manual switching function as a backup.

Hey superg, I have a question about my switch. Is there any reason why the HV/CV does not do anything? When I first got my switch I was having trouble getting sync to my RGB monitor and flicking that switch did not do anything and the monitor was not getting csync, just hsync. Then it started working all of a sudden. That was many months ago and I just got a new RGB monitor, a Sony PVM 1954q and the same thing happened. No sync, flipping the switch did nothing, then it started working and the HV/CV switch functions as expected. Is this normal? Thanks a lot!

Which output are you using? I think the HV/CV switch only affects the VGA output. So if you are using the SCART output, changing the HV/CV setting should have no effect.

    Hopefully superg will confirm.

Sorry I should have been more specific. I am using the VGA output to the PVM.

Maybe your monitor isn't picking it up instantly. On my Sony BVM I see the change instantly when I flip. On the other hand if your flip switch is broken you won't see anything on screen, so I'm sure that switch is fine.

I see the change instantly now when I flip the switch, but it was doing nothing before then just started working. By not seeing anything on screen do you mean that I wouldn't see even an out of sync image?

Exactly, if flip switch is broken there won't be csync/hsync on VGA - just black screen.

hmm interesting. I wonder why I couldn't get it to sync initially with both monitors then. Well its syncing fine now!

Well, I've had a few cases where flip switch was defective when I got it from manufacturer, had to re-solder these. But once everything is tested I haven't got a single report on that. Maybe over time something could happen but these shouldn't be used often.

yeah maybe that is what has happened to mine, I have no clue. It is bizarre that it would happen right when I hooked it up initially, and again when I switched out the monitor

Mine arrived and works great with almost all the consoles I tested!! Thanks superg!! Already tested PSX, SNES Mini (voltage divider and THS7314), NES (NESRGB), MVS (voltage divider and THS7314). Haven't tried Neo Geo CD, N64, Sega Genesis, PS2. Didn't work PC Engine Core Grafx 2 (voltage divider THS7314).
If anyone have advice about the PC Engine, I would really appreciate the help.

I had a similar issue with all other consoles except PC Engine passing through the GWSCARTSW. Turned out that turning the sync stripper switch off allowed the PC-E to work. Not sure why the PCE is the only console to have trouble with the sync stripper, but it looks fantastic anyway even with it turned off.
