Since this includes a sync stripper, could something like this replace the Sync Strike I'm currently using? If so, add me to the waiting list.

It's just LM1881. Switch doesn't provide VGA output.

I don't think the Sync Strike actually provides VGA out, it's just a VGA Style port. The Sync Strike had to be used in conjunction with a GBS-8220 to get the RGB converted to VGA. I just use the Sync Strike to get a clean signal for my RGB monitor.

Please sign me up for 2 of these switches as well. I've been looking for a solution like this for quite some time and joined this forum to be able to buy one. Seems like a perfectly good reason.

By the way, I'm one of the admins of a Dutch retro forum, www.button-bashers.nl. I'll do some promo on this switch over there and see whether there are more people who would like one or two. I'll let you know what comes out of that.

Unfortunately all of these are sold and I don't have any assembled device to update photo (sold mine as well). And new batch isn't completed yet, I am still waiting for a few parts. I will update the thread ASAP I will fully assemble one of the switches.
(I'm not charging anyone, just made a list not to forget interested buyers)

At first I thought it would be a great idea, but that MiniDIN connector is really a pain in the ass.
(although all supplied cables were of higher quality and shielded)
In this next "revision" I replaced MiniDIN with proper SCART output. I will post pictures once I will have one switch assembled.

 

For me it's always like this: first you create/mod/buy something, then you think it's no biggie and you can wait a bit to get another one and sell/trade/give it.

Well, if you'll like the switch - yeah it would be great if you'll do some review.
