Oh were the excess units jp21? Any news on when euro scart will be available for sale or pre-order?

No, JP21 pre-orders are still opened. As I've said I'm waiting for the manufacturer to get the news on SCART version, hope will hear from them this week. This includes pre-ordered units and some extra stock.

Sorry to be so demanding as to request a refund via email on a "pre-order". When I placed it on June 8th I figured this was another hand soldered batch that would sell-out as quickly as the last batch with a ~5-6 week delivery from then, not a pre-pay on a minimum 50 lot that is charged today with delivery date of XX +5-6weeks. Not really clearly stated, was it?

Guess since you have such thin skin that you are now unwilling to deal with me, I'll just have to rely on my Selecty21 until I upgrade the rest of my consoles to HDMI. Oh well...

So, essentially you didn't read, and you're upset at someone else about it. Why is it surprising that it's not financially feasible to do a run of these switches until a minimum number have been ordered? It's a manufacturer thing, not a Superg thing. People are overlooking the fact that this isn't a business. It's a single person doing all of this work when he doesn't need to. He could've just kept the switch to himself, and probably wishes he had at this point.

He's ordering things in small numbers in the grand scheme of things. As far as manufacturers are concerned, he's a small fish and they will likely fill larger orders first if push comes to shove. This means that there could always be delays (i.e. SCART ports) that can't be anticipated. He also had no way of knowing upfront that fewer than 50 people would be interested in JP21. That's surprising, considering how slammed this thread is.

We all have waited months for these switches. I tried to order one back in January, missed out, and have been checking the thread daily since. If it takes another month or two, or three, what's the difference? If the end result is getting a quality switch that you can't get anywhere else, then isn't it worth the wait?

Dropped by to check if there was any news and noticed the post above from Blue Beard. Just wanted to say thanks for the hard work, superg. I discovered your switch right as my setup had become so unruly that I absolutely needed a good switch to make my life easier. Can't wait to try it out. Thanks again. :)

I just want to say thanks to Superg as well. Been following the thread for about a year, and finally got in an order on this batch, and is just so ready for it. So grateful for all the work Superg does to make our retro setups more convenient to use. Thanks!

It will work but unless your setup is particularly susceptible to audio noise or cable interference i would recommend this one:
    http://www.ebay.com/itm/161886491690?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT
    or this one:
    http://www.ebay.com/itm/162058151450?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT

The Second one Will Connect the Switch right to the frameister without the need for an adapter....looks cleaner

    Hey hey superg!

Don't you think it would be a good idea to write a compatibility list since so many people ask about what they can use with the switch and all?

You might want to send Superg a PM. I'm guessing (and this is entirely a guess) that the SCART switches will ship before August, but I've heard that sometimes it can take weeks to get things through customs.

He'll probably see it in the thread but don't take your chances.

    I've replied to your email.

I may create a FAQ because a lot of questions has been answered in this topic several times. As of compatibility, it should just work for everything.

SCART update: all units has been assembled, they will be shipped on Monday.

    Awesome! :D

How do you think these SCART connectors fare compared to the ones which are screwed to the board? Just curious how reliable you consider them to be.
