I'm so pumped! Got mine today. It's awesome!

Couple questions though.

Previously I was using a Hama SCART switch and the audio seemed louder. Not a big deal, I just turn the volume up, I just thought it was odd.

Does anyone know if/where I can get SCART port covers for the empty slots?

 

Maybe HAMA amplified the audio. I don't process audio with an exception of lowpass filtering.

Get more consoles perhaps?

Just got my gscartsw switcher in the mail today! It's working beautifully, and is incredibly well built. Thank you so much for the work you put into these, as well as keeping us all in the loop, superg...I've lurked on here waiting for my chance to buy one for a very long time, and your updates helped keep me informed. I really appreciate it!

 

Prepared a lot of international orders (packaged and labels printed) and several local. Everything will be dropped off tomorrow morning.
Almost 70% of all the units are shipped (including today's packages). In the best case I'll finish shipping this weekend.
And JP21 batch is very close to finish.

Now there is minor delay because I've ran out of long M2.5 screws (18 per switch, these hold every SCART connector in place). Manufacturer assured me that I'll get the remaining screws this week but I'll bug them tomorrow because it's already Wednesday.

Somebody opened a paypal case against me asking about the status. The funny thing is that person ordered the unit very late, and I'm shipping according to the order date.

 

See, this sort of stuff drives me CRAZY. This is a 72 page thread, and it contains numerous references to ETA's and everything else. The fact that people STILL don't understand that you aren't Amazon.com absolutely infuriates me. I guess that you need to modify your shopping page and include a checkbox for "Will promise not to be a douchebag" because some people just don't get it.

Yeah. But it's possible someone ordered without knowing about this thread (unless superg includes it in his contact stuff), since I saw the stock notices posted other places with no references to here.

Still no excuse to do that without trying to contact someone yourself. Some people.

 

Sorry, that dude was a jerk and that dude was me. My humble apologies I saw what you made via someones Facebook post and they recommend I get one, I did not realise this thread existed rookie mistake, It was also a rookie mistake to try and make contact via paypal it was not my intent.

You could only order from RetroRGB who has all the details and link to this thread or from my store website gretrostuff.com which also has the information. I suppose everybody is different but I don't easily pull the trigger on a $200 product without reading the terms
It's just I was so close to shipping that's person unit, was reviewing it yesterday evening.

 

I've just gotten a shipping notification for the rest of the screws.
But I may try to acquire some amount of these through local store.

 

I finally got my TG16 cable replaced so now everything on my switch is working great. Since I only used Assembler for this thread and I won't need any more support, time to head off. GIANT thanks to superg for taking the time to make the switch and to make a JP21 version. If you're on the fence about this switch, don't be - it's amazing.

Update: I've acquired some amount of needed screws locally, a bit more expensive but it'll keep myself busy until all screws will arrive. The ultimate goal is to have everything shipped this week.

 

I got my switch today and took if for a spin with my RGB modded NES and I was surprised at the quality difference between this switch and the Bandridge SVB7733 I've been using. I am very happy with the product, cheers to you and your work, superg.

I'm certain this has been asked before, can the sync strip and hsync/csync switches be toggled on and off while the switch is on? Is there a guide to show the best switch settings for each console?

Thanks again for an amazing device. I think the picture from my scart actually looks even better with your scart switch than my HAMA switch.

 

It definitely can. The default setting is both switches in the left position (CV and CS). CV/HV switch affects only VGA connector. Second switch is sync stripper, CS means "Clean Sync" off means "forward the signal as is"

 

Anyone from the UK recieved their switch yet? Im hoping mine will come any day now
