Just received my gscartsw today in South Australia. I have very quickly tested it with my:

Nintendo Famicom AV (NTSC-J) with NESRGB (Tim Worthington)
Nintendo Super Famicom Jr (NTSC-J) with Retrofixes Mini RGB Mod
    Nintendo 64 (NTSC-J) with N64RGB (Tim Worthington)
    Sony PlayStation One (PAL)
    Sony PlayStation 2 Slim (PAL)

...and XRGB-mini FRAMEMEISTER plus all Pro Coaxial Multicore scart cables from retro_console_accessories. All looks to be fantastic!

Quick and dirty pic of it is below (will set it up neatly on the weekend)...thanks superg you are an absolute legend !!! Also thanks to Coury & Marc from My Life in Gaming plus RetroRGB for putting me onto this and also turning me into an RGB fanatic:

A week from now I plan to put the remaining SCART units for sale.

First post of this thread has big bold red letters, read those.

Whoever said that - it's not true.

What do you mean by mono, audio?
Maybe you didn't route the cable properly, it's stereo. Try 3.5 audio jack with active speakers (or some small earplugs) to test stereo output.

^ Yes. I misread my diagram when I was rewiring my SCART cable to JP21. Thanks for the quick reply, good sir.

    Hi superg!

Received your awesome scart switch, looks amazing :) thanks a lot! Still need to find time to hook it up properly but I'm sure it will work just fine. Thanks again.

Glad to hear this! I just joined the forum after following information/news about the gscartsw for awhile. I just had a couple questions for the creator/those who own one.

I have quite a few systems hooked up via RGB (Saturn, Genesis, Super Famicom, etc.) and have had middling success with the scart switch boxes I've used. The last one I acquired, a Hama clone, works for the most part but has some video degradation as well as interference. This can result in audio buzzing more than usual, some mild flickering/glitches onscreen. This seems by far most apparent in the Super Famicom for whatever reason.

I'm wondering if there is any video degradation, interference, or other issues introduced via using the switch box versus plugging directly in. With my Super Famicom I experience no issues when plugging directly into my PVM but variable performance (blurrier image, as well as interference) when using the Hama clone, which has been the best one I've used thus far in my limited experience.

Anyways, I very much appreciate anyone taking the time to answer any of these questions. I just want to make sure before I go ahead and order. Cheers.

Just works perfect, no image degradation nothing!

Have tried many consoles via RGB scart and also my Dreamcast with 480p over scart (Toro box).
When switching back and forth between the Dreamcast via the switch with scart and a second Dreamcast connected directly to my monitor via VGA (Hanzo box), I didn't notice anything :)

Switch was designed with picture quality in mind. Audio buzz is usually cable interference issue, you just need better cables, read throughout this topic - it was discussed several times.

Any idea why my Japanese Saturn only works when I turn cysnc on. All other consoles work with it off. But with the Saturn the whole image is garbled.

I'm not 100% sure but I think it may depend on a console revision, both JP/US Saturns I have here work without it. Somebody else reported the similar issue in this thread.
(for sure all my Genesis / Mega Drive 2 ones require sync stripper on)

    Awesome, thanks for the info!

Purchased some of mine from Retro Console Accessories in the US on Ebay as well as Retro Gaming Cables in the UK. I thought my switch box was causing more interference but perhaps it's the cables (or something else). Thanks for the reply.

Bester - are you using one of her male-to-male SCART cables with a 8 pin mini din adapter to connect the switch to the XRGB Mini?

Hi, although I do have both of those cables from retro_console_accessories as well (male-to-male and 8 pin mini din adapter scart cables in Pro Coaxial Multicore) I am not using them with the gscartsw to XRGB-mini framemeister, instead I am using her following single cable to connect them:

Male RGB SCART to 8 pin mini din for Dreamcast Toro box/switchbox to XRGB mini

...that was talked about by other users and superg earlier in this thread (I have confirmed this works OK). This has also been upgraded to Pro Coaxial Multicore (which is recommended to do so when using it with a scart switch as per her comment in the above item description):

Upgrade any SCART or Xrgb cable to coaxial pro cabling Saturn Genesis SNES etc

Okay. I tried using a JP21 to mini din (pro coaxial upgraded) when I received the switch this past Friday with no luck. She sent me a replacement male-to-male JP21 (pro coaxial upgraded as well) that is arriving today that I'll use with the mini din adapter. I may just have received a faulty cable then. I'll know for sure here shortly.

The male-to-male JP21 cable arrived and I have it connected to the XRGB Mini using the mini din adapter. I can get audio, but no picture. With the JP21 to mini din cable, it was no audio or video. I've tried disconnecting / reconnecting the power supply on the JP21 switch, turned the sync cleaner off and on, power cycled the Mini, and even connected my Mini directly to my TV (it normally runs through an HDMI switch first). I cannot get picture. The audio comes through fine though. Tested with the SNES, Genesis, Saturn, and Dreamcast. Any ideas? Sync level setting in the Mini?

UPDATE - to rule out the mini din adapter, I ran the JP21 switch into the Selecty21. Same issue. Audio, but no video.
