As we have a very international group of people on this forum I though it would be fun to play this guess the location game. Gameplay/Rules: Post pictures of a 'famous or not so famous' city/location/country or at least some place people should be able to find and guess, so some kind of landmark/architecture/clue or whatever should be visible. You can then try and find it by using the clues in the pictures and formulating them in google or google images. Geographical knowledge and travel experiance may help but for most of us it comes down to google If you guessed or found the right place/city/country (and confirmed by the poster or proven by a picture found by yourself) you are up next to place a picture of a mystery location or ask somebody else to post one if you don't feel like it. The poster should add clues if it get's too hard to guess or after a few wrong answers. To not giveaway the location in the name of the file/picture upload it to some place like tinypic.com Here goes the first one: guess this city/country:
I got about 1/3 the way down on the "tallest freestanding structures" list on Wikipedia and gave up. Now I'm curious! The only conclusion I have come to is that China has WAY too many tall things. I'm going to take a wild guess and say it's somewhere in there.
It looks higher then it actually is, the empire state building for example is higher. This place is made up out of a peninsula and 2 islands
I thought it looked like a building from Toronto Canada but its not is it?? I'm pretty sure it looks similar to.
I know there is a tower similar in malaysia/kuala lumpur. Am I close? First reaction was Seoul Tower, even though the tower is different the landscape looks very similar in that aerial photo.
Damn as soon as i saw the second picture i thought Macau too. Edit: http://www.catswhiskers.com.hk/poi_mo.htm Matthijscoman get your picture up.
