Antipasta: Nope, Evangelion 64. Ironically, Evangelion01 got it right. I think we do need more hints on AWS's red biological picture. It's likely not to be Axelay either... but it could be something R-Typeish. Or Zero Wing?
[Hints] Picture One: It's not system specific, nor is it generation specific. Technically, it's 16-bit, but it's beyond anything on the Genesis or SNES. Picture Two: You have to beat the game to know what this one is. Wasn't released in the US. [EDIT] I added the pictures.
Picture one could be Salamander or something Salamander related. It sure as hell isn't Devil's Crush. You're good at this sport, AWS.
Because people keep on guessing the same thing over and over, here is a list of guesses that are ALL wrong. Also note, the picture has NOTHING to do with ANY of the series' below. Doom Splater House Magician Lord Salamander Resident Evil 2 Super Ghouls and Ghosts Gradius Darkstalkers Axelay R-Type Zero Wing Castlevania Cyber-Lip Devil's Crush As for the bird picture, I don't think anyone will get it. I'm going to reveal it in my next post, so get all your guesses in now.
Answer for picture 2: The end of Terranigma In my next post I will give the answer to picture one, so get your final guesses in now.
Workshop's picture has to be a PC game or something on the Arcade (because of the "generation" thing, and the comparison to Snes and Genesis). Neither is my area of expertise, unfortunately. I'm going to have to give up on ever guessing it. Very well played, Workshop.
Dammit! Is that the Metal Slug with the Zombies? If so, I've even played that! How the hell could I have missed that...? I thought it was something more difficult... Very good screenshot selection.
Now I feel stupid...as many times as I've played that game (I own the MVS kit) I still couldn't figure it out.
Yep, it's the one with the Zombies. I was going for a secret area, so that anyone who has played MS3 a lot, and has tried out every path would recognize it. That's cool. I have the XBOX version, which is actually harder than the Arcade version. The funny thing is, Mr. Casual and I were playing this game co-op a while back, and when we got to mission 4, we stumbled upon this secret path, which is actually very VERY difficult. So, when we got to the boss we both only had one life left. We got our asses kicked.
