I found this site that has info on hacking a coke machine. http://www.i-hacked.com/content/view/12/48/ Looks pretty interesting to me,I never thought that a coke machine would have a debug menu.
I think this violates forum rules. No posting of material (ie links, etc.) that explicitly solicits information that can be used for illegal purposes. I can only imagine lil teens using that info to get free coke at their highschool or middle school.
Problem is, you have to be able to open the Machine to be able to do anything useful with it. Hmm...that reminds me...does the Payphone trick still work?
It's not really a "how to make nuclear weapons out of an egg whisk and a jar of lemon curd" so is "ok" as in, "it doesn't break the rules". There was a Lucozade machine in our office that was "faulty" and if you pressed the Lucozade Still Orange water button twice quickly, you would get the drink for free. People abused it for months and months, and nobody ever said/did anything about it. You would see people walking out with carrier bags full of the stuff... the machine is still there, don't know if they "fixed" it.
Known about this for a few years. Most machines error out when you try and do it, others dont have the full features of the menu available.
Theres a "secret" spot on the coke machine in the college. I saw a student knock firmly to depress the plastic on the top-left corner and two cokes fell out. I saw several students do it, and I tried it, but it wouldnt work for me.
It's actually been on the internet and other places for a long time, but yeah you pretty much can;t do a damn thing unless you can get to the keypad inside. It was still sort of fun to try way back when. I've heard about the kicking a spot thing too, the girl says that her uncle or something worked for the Coke machine people and taught the trick to some of her cousins but we dunno much about it. It;s be awesome to use in schools though. :icon_bigg
On some soda machines if you press the button for your selection a second time just when it starts the mechanism for releasing a soda, it'll give you a second one free (I once even got three doing it back in my first year of high school)
Hehe i was bored at work today so i gave the debug menu code a try & it worked. i had a quick play in the menu but i couldnt see much to do but im going to explore more. With a bit of luck i might get me some free cokes (^_^)
the "Error" message is part of the Debug menu. Just Press "up" or "down" to move to another option. Move Backward and you'll be at "Error" again.
man who stole the manual on this one, i remember this dude i knew actually got $15 worth of change when he held on the slot that gives your coins back, pushed a button or somehint in it, though hasnt pulled it off again. But yeah its funny vending machiens like this have various tricks to them, guess their just exploits of their mechinisims.
It would be cool if you could find an option on the menu to make the Coke Machine act like a Slot machine that actually gives you money. But its not right...
lol, i was doing this in highschool years ago. It's just a cool thing to do once I guess, since you really can't do anything. Now if you swiped some manuals or keys off ebay or something to enable free or penny vends like you can for home vending machines, that'd be funnier.
Hehehe yeah this one is a classic, I found out about it about a year ago. The fun part is that you can a FULL machine fake to be empty hehehe. Imagine when the refil-guy come's.... WTF!?! its still full hehehe
