Hello fellow members, im looking to look at the contents of Jet set radio for the sega dreamcast. I want to view textures and data files from the CD. I have a cd image (.bin and .cue) of the game and I can view the contents of the .bin with powerISO but I only get 3 text files and warning.da . does anybody know how to dig inside a dreamcast ISO? view the contents of the inner disk? help would be appreciated. thanks.

EDIT: Please don't say "just view the HD remake files". there not the same. I want to view the original Japanese version. thanks.

.bin and .cue it's a CD image, try mount cue in power ISO or try download different image in .cdi or mdf/mds format.

Try with IsoBuster; it'll show you all the sessions/tracks in the image and you should be able to get to the data track you're looking for... hopefully (never tried a DC image with IsoBuster, but I don't see why it wouldn't work).

Yeah isobuster is perfect for any multisession disc, including dreamcast games.

Be aware though that the DC sees the big endian TOC, some groups used to "hide" files from the little endian TOC to confuse repackers back in the days. Isobuster can show both the big and little endian TOCs.

I have tried ISO Buster ( had to "borrow" a free full version :S ) and it could only find one track for JETGRINDRADIO_U.ISO and DELAJETSETRADIO.NRG (REPACK) . I Tried to find hidden files and folders and the 3 items I got were corrupted. Magic iso finds 2 sessions, 1 with information and 1 with de la jet set radio's files but only for .NRG files. I cannot find a jet grind radio or japan v1 jet set radio .nrg anywhere. ??confused??

isobuster got issues reading nrg files, try to mount the nrg file in daemon tools and load the virtual drive in isobuster. ISO files are single session and basically useless for dreamcast now.

I you just want the files, get a GDI of the game and use my Selfboot pack to extract the files from it. (there's a gdi2data script included.)

ah ok. I don't know where to find you pack. but ill look for it. I really just seed SND_DJ.AFS from JGR and I need the first Japanese version (unlocked with files exposed) to repack and patch with my beta restoration mod. ill check around and get the tools.

You might have better luck looking for a full TOSEC release and only select the game you want google is your friend. Or you can make the gdi yourself if you have a dreamcast and a sd-card adapter.

thanks for the tips. I made a GDI of Jet Grind Radio and Jet Set Radio JPv1, I was able to view the files via Daemon tools mounting. but I am interesting still, in repacking, for patching my GDI with edited files. I have read you last 2 posts over and over again like you said. I am still very clueless. a total noob. I do not see or know what a "signature" is? username? im new too this forum thing. *sigh

Beside my posts is a "signature" text that I personalized and that's always there. There links to my selfboot pack, which contains tools to extract and repack DC games.

Thank you sanni. Also, I have created a GDI from my sega dreamcast magazine volume 8 disk and It always comes out messed up and on my 4th attempt, it won't even be created. I have tried .ISO for this aswell. I cannot seem to get any data besides the 3 text files, sega swirl setup and the "this is a DC disk" sound file. sigh** (correction, I did not try CDI. cannot seem to make one)
