You shouldn't have to input manual infos if you got a properly formatted GDI.

Can you post the console output so that I can have a little info to help you with?

Your problem is that you don't actually have a gdi dump.

    Typically you'd have track01.bin, track02.bin track03.bin and <game_name>.gdi

Then you put that on the same folder than GDI2DATA.BAT and double click it. No need to manually do anything, the BAT script converts the bins to iso for you and all.

Hmm, then that's a problem. I cannot create a GDI. it won't work for me any more. I guess ill have to search for a pre-made Japanese version ( but I doubt I can )... yay..

I had one. I think its busted now. I am not sure where to purchase another one. I could check ebay. Is there a thread where I can see how to properly dump it? I don't want to mess it up anymore.

I got my DCSD today in the main but I don't have the right SD card. tried 3 different brands.. would not read in dreamshell 4.0... . I purchased a 4GB sandisk sd on amazon, should come tomorrow with 1 day delivery. hope that works.. :(

Some console require the removal of some capacitors from the mobo in order for the sd-card to work well too. I think they are the caps labelled: C605, C606, C607, C608 and C609.

This could make your serial port incompatible with other devices though, but I doubt you use any other such device.

well if that's the case, I will be stuck forever. I am bad at modding and I will never touch the insides of my console. I prefer to have a legit, clean unit.

You might try another loader than Dreamshell. While Dreamshell is good, I believe it's a bit less compatible sd-card side than the ripper I linked to earlier in this thread.

You can put that dcsdrip executable file and burn it to a cd-r (not cd-rw). Then load Dreamshell, once all is loaded open the lid, put the disc with dcsdrip1.1 in it and close, then navigate to the file and execute it. This may work!

I explained how to use DS to load the dcsdrip program, this way you can use dreamshell, but use the jj1odm program to rip the game.
