Just found this little gem on ebay. Anyone have any info on this one? I've never heard of it, so I imagined it's undumped.
As stated in the auction "This was only available back in 2004 around the release of Halo 2 and features a bunch of trailers and live demo gameplay footage, among other available content. This preview disc is non-interactive so theres no parts that you actually get to play." So I doubt there is anything interesting on there.
this is a disc that just holds trailers and a video if the e3 demo. the e3 demo doesn't exist. it was smoke and mirrors and was being deleted as they were playing it. this isn't worth 200$ at least to me. maybe a hardcore halo collector
I wouldn't go as far as saying it doesn't exist. Basically what you said is true that they deleted parts as the level went on. I think Bungie built the game on an engine that was just never going to work on retail Xbox hardware at the time and even during the demo the game looked unfinished then. It was basically going no where which is why they scrapped it and started again from scratch. There is probably a version of the E3 demo out there how it worked through modded PC hardware or maybe even a dev kit Xbox (extra ram) we probably will never know.
